"Whilst a 3 rating is perhaps a little low, I couldn't quite go to a 4 for reasons I'll explain. I'll start with the positives and that is the food was very nice, as was the coffee and I would recommend on this basis. Service was unfortunately disjointed. It took over half an hour to order, 45 mins to get a drink. Sitting outside we felt forgotten. After waiting we went in search of a menu and as we wanted lunch were advised that we had to wait until midday. Fine for us but being 11.55 we couldn't have a menu to be looking at and were told to come back. On going back we were given a brunch menu instead and had to go back again. I'll end on a positive and say once we got to order service the food arrived within 15 mins."

Charming tearoom with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the delicious coffee and freshly squeezed juice. We will definitely return soon.

Just held a private function (family wake) at this lovely tea room located in the heart of Tisbury. Can’t thank Harry and his staff enough for the superb spread and service provided. Top class highly recommended.

I thought the tea was brewed perfectly, piping hot. The fishcakes were delicious, served with a fresh crunchy side salad. The Guinness and chocolate cake was amazing. Mia was very welcoming and had a lovely energy about her. I absolutely loved it. Visualizza piatti

I popped in for a cup of tea and a scone to get out of the rain for a while. I’m so glad I did. There was a great range of loose leaf teas on offer and the Darjeeling I had was full of flavour. The scone was nice and was served with some clotted cream and jam.

We visited today and had a full afternoon tea, after having to rebook after a booking miscommunication Harry and his team could not have been more accommodating and helpful, delicious tea, scrummy cakes and sandwiches would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area

The wonderful team at Beatons, led by Harry, are incredibly welcoming. The excellent customer service and friendly atmosphere make it a fantastic place to stop off! And let's not forget about the food - we ordered a full English breakfast and mushrooms and avocado on toast, and I can confidently say it was the best full English I've had in Wiltshire. I highly recommend this place. Great job, guys! Visualizza piatti

Stumbled upon this place having never been to Tisbury before. Having had a stressful time and a bit of time before catching a train, we wanted a cup of tea. We loved Beatons. Loved having loose leaf tea, loved the chai latte. Loved the little saucer over the cup. Really loved the white chocolate and cranberry cake which was undoubtedly home made (tasted like it was baked in the last 24 hours). Service was a little slow, but we didn’t mind. Will be returning and taking others with me!

This is the perfect place to start your day! The light and elegant room with the books and the flowers invites you to relax. A large selection of fine teas and coffees as well as an array of delicious homemade cakes and sandwiches make your day. Every time we popped in during our holiday the service was excellent. Harry and Mia are very attentive and are more than happy to respond to a request or to give some travelling advice. You could sit there, sip your drinks and spend as much time as you like in this cozy atmosphere.

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."
