Bessemer Carvery And Grill

I went with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. We all had the carvery option and enjoyed the lovely beef that was cooked perfectly. The only drawback was the unhappy chef who was carving the meat.

Great place to stay, ticked all the box’s for me, rooms clean and spacious, lovely breakfast and very substantial and tasty evening meals. All the staff were great and helped make my stay all the more enjoyable, hope to return early in the new year.

Just a friendly hotel, all the staf were wonderful. Rooms were clean, if a little dated. Breakfast was freshly made when u ordered , loads of hot water for a bath and a great shower. The tv reception is terrible so take a streaming stick as wi-go is good and free Visualizza piatti

Had the garlic mushrooms to start were like bullets had the carvery asked for Turkey and pork and veg gravy as I don't eat red meat the chef shouted put the kettle on so my gravy which can ten minutes after I had my food and I noticed the chef used the same knife for all the meat so I wasted all my dinner as that's not right X cauliflower cheese was mostly sauce only uplifting part of the meal was the trifle be a while before I go here again

We stayed a Thursday night at the Bessemer Hotel. We paid for dinner, which was carvery only but ample and good value. All items were served hot, with trimmings for meat-eaters. Veggies/vegans can get a vegs-only dish for a reduced rate. Staff in restaurant wore facemasks and took care. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were good and we slept soundly. Room lighting though was subdued. Our shower was far too hot (which we noted at checkout). Cooked breakfast was good, served with tea/coffee but no fruit juice.

Booked this hotel on a whim for an overnight stay travelling on our motorbike. Arrived early but the lovely lady on reception said our room was ready which was a great bonus. The room was pleasant, spacious, clean and comfy. Nice bathroom too. What more do you need? Breakfast, although very early (only till 8.30am) was plentiful and tasty. All the staff we encountered were smiley and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. My absolute only gripe was that there was no info pack in the room. Breakfast, bar and restaurant menus and opening times as well as internet password would have been really helpful. But for £65 a night it really was a great find. Visualizza piatti

I had takeout dinner on the 27th and when I got home, I put some in a bowl for my 4-year-old and ate mine out of the tray because I was in a rush. After a few bites, I started chewing on something hard and found a piece of string in my food. I called the restaurant, Bessemer, and spoke to the manager, Janey. She didn't handle the situation well, showing attitude and claiming that the string wouldn't have harmed me. I expressed concern about the choking hazard, especially if my child had found it in his food. The manager criticized me for eating out of the tray and insisted I should have put the food on a plate. My friend found this hotel on booking.com for a last minute hiking trip. I didnt know where he had booked, but on arrival I was pleasently suprised. Its suitation is welcoming, raised above road level and at night its lights make it look welcoming. On arrival, we got a bit lost trying to find the receiption desk, ending up in the bar but staff further in the building noticed us and came immediatly to check us in. She explained about dinner, breakfast, free wifi etc, and we found her to be very welcoming. Decor is dated but all areas nice and clean. I have visited this restaurant several times and had a great time. Tonight, my family of four, including three adults and one child, went for dinner. I asked for a child's carvery, and the young waitress questioned why as I was not a child. I explained that I was not very hungry, and she said she would make an exception this time. Unfortunately, the soup was out of stock, so I ended up ordering a child's carvery for myself, two adult carverys, and a child's nugget meal.
