The first time I came here we were quite rudely turned away as they were fully booked which unfortunately put me off.

Fantastic service and good foodI really like that they have a few seasonal specials and seating outside for sunny summer days.

Bill's is a lovely cozy spot for lunch. The hostess and the waiter were some of the most pleasant I encountered in London. I really would give them 4.5 stars if I could.

I have been wanting a Bill's restaurant closer to my home for quite some time, and finally one opened up! It's like they read my mind! The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, and it made for a great evening out. I highly recommend it.

Located on Putney High Street where the old Slug Lettuce used to be, Bill's Restaurant is a delightful find for those looking for a reasonably priced Afternoon Tea experience. Priced at £9.95 per person, the Afternoon Tea includes a selection of tea, scones, sandwiches, pastries, and more. The staff is welcoming and accommodating, making us feel like old friends. Our only complaint was the loud and not-so-great music, but this was easily resolved by asking them to turn it down. Overall, the experience was wonderful and we look forward to returning. A GREAT find for breakfast! I must confess that I don't know putney that well. So when I was strolling down the highstreet in the early morning, feeling pretty famished, I was delighted when Bill's caught my eye. I thought I'd found a gem and sure enough I had. It is very understated from the front, I actually had to do a double take to see that Bills served brekie. Inside Bill's has a qwerky British/italian vibe with welcoming staff. The menu was great they offered everything from tea and toast to a Full English and Eggs Benny. I chose the Full English and it was lush. I'm usually a huge Bill's fan, but this one proved disappointing. I went with 3 friends, and ordered the fish pie (which I'd had before at the Covent Garden branch and was great). After about 20 minutes they brought everyone else's food out but forgot the pie, and it turned out it had been missed off the list and wasn't cooked yet. Booo. When it eventually turned up the top was burnt (I'm guessing the panic shoved it under the grill to heat it up quickly). I sent it back and when it arrived again the top had been scrapped off and replaced with fresh potato with burnt bits still lurking round the side. Ooh a new restaurant in Putney! I haven't heard of Bill's before I try not to hate on chains and always willing to give it a try. I came here for dinner last night. The decor probably looks the same everywhere but it is kind of cute in a quirky way. It feels like a bit of a maze but also kinda hides the amount of space it has. Luckily we booked a reservation for dinner as the couple ahead of me would have to wait about 30 minutes. My friend and I ordered a bottle of the Rose fizz.
