"Situated right on the edge of Birling Gap, the cafe can get quite busy when everyone drops in for a drink at virtually the same time and there may be a slight delay while the drinks are prepared. That being said, it is a good place for a drink and/or a snack before, or after, having a walk round the Seven Sisters Country Park. The staff are cheerful and helpful, the coffee is good and the cakes are delicious. There is parking right outside (free to NT members) and this extremely good cafe is wheelchair accessible. It is also dog friendly. Covid measures are still in place."

It is good to see the Seven Sisters Cliff when you are eating, so it is a good place to have a coffee time or eat something. And after you can walk on the beach. Not very expensive and nice.

We popped in for a snack for lunchtime today. A limited choice but excellent service. Tasty savoury pastries but sadly could not warm up my scone. Would be good to offer walkers hot soup too. Tea and drinks were fine.

National trust food and prices ! Usual fayre, scone, pastries and cakes etc . People were sitting outside it was a bright but cold day and we thought we were lucky getting a table indoors but later wished we had sat outside.

We were so delighted with the yummy food at the cafe, we had the vegan curry cauliflower pasty, victoria sponge cake, and egg and cress sandwich and it was all super delicious! It's on the pricier side but it's worth it after a long walk.

This is a great place to stop for a break whether you are walking or in a car. There is a car park with toilets, cafe, shop and steps down to the beach. The cafe is clean and does a nice selection of cakes. It has lovely views of the sea from both inside and out.

Rediculous prices for a cafe! A Cornish pasty was £5.30, sausage roll for £4.70. Seriously what’s that about??? Not enough staff to keep the queue running smoothly, once you’ve paid you wait another 10 minutes before you actually get your hot drinks so there ends up being a huge crowd at the end by the tills. Not a great experience.

Lovely National Trust cafe and visitor centre serving homemade cakes and excellent coffee. Situated just before the steps down to the beach it has seating both in front of the building and to the side plus numerous tables inside. If you haven't got any change for the car park you can buy your ticket with your card from the cafe. It's well worth a visit

Nice place with plenty of seating, cheerful staff and great views however prices are a little high but guess that's to be expected where there's no competition. Choice of food was somewhat limited, I don't do carbs so virtually nothing available but if you're keto then you stand half a chance. All manner of hot and cold drinks to suit everyone and the place is comfortable and clean. I'd come again but not on a weekend as the place was very busy when we visited.

"Honestly...one of the best pub restaurants I have ever visited! We chose to eat here as it was recommended via Alistair Sawday, and it did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere, hygiene and service were all 5* when we visited last night. We sat inside, by candlelight, and ordered 2 starters (the Rye smoked mackerel with buttercream sauce and the heritage tomato salad and 2 mains (the beef burger with fries and the hake with toasted ciabatta and garden peas . It was truly exquisite! We both cleaned our plates (and we don't usually do that! . My only mild criticism is that I didn't realise the hake dish would include bacon lardons they certainly added to the flavour, but as an ethical pescatarian, this could have ruined the meal for me (I didn't allow it to, but 10 years ago when I was more strict it may have upset me . I may have simply missed this ingredient when reading the menu, and I didn't make the waiting staff aware of my dietary preferences, so I accept this was my fault and not theirs. It's just something for other pescatarians reading this review to be aware of. I have absolute confidence that they would prepare the hake dish without the bacon lardons if you asked. As for me....my boyfriend gleefully took them from my plate and demolished them himself! We also enjoyed a medium glass of wine each my boyfriend (who is very particular loved the tempranillo and I had their Italian pinot grigio. Our entire meal would have been less than £60, but with the current government incentive scheme to eat in, it came to less than £40!! We tipped generously as they truly deserved it. We will 100% be returning and can't advocate them enough."
