Went there for business lunch. Got a quiet table. Nice and attentive staff. Very nice interior. Food quality very good. Of course typical swiss prices.

in the metropolis at the train station we are always well served and the menus are always very well cooked. a safer value in the city of st. gallen. business lunches can be terminated directly with access to the train. our partners appreciate this very much.

it would be easy to overlook this dining option one floor above the entrance to the Hotel Metropol. That would be a mistake. A friendly crew welcomes you here with Swiss comfort food. The bratwurst is indeed excellent. Get a window table and watch the...world go by on the Bahnhofplatz.

Can't say anything about the rooms because I didn't stay there, but the restaurant downstairs is very convenient for the train station (it's just opposite and they don't mind if you park your luggage under the table), and they serve excellent St Gallen bratwurst....Not at all expensive. N.B. Bratwurst is typical of St Gallen. They eat it all the time. It's usually sold from kiosks, but of course if you get it from a kiosk you can't sit down. You can have it with chips or bread.
