I had a fantastic afternoon tea at Black Goo today. The food was gorgeous and there was a lot of it! The sausage rolls and scotch eggs had the most delicious pastry. I highly recommend it.

Second time I have tried to consume food and coffee here. Waited to be seated, which is a plus, and the proceed to wait for my order to be taken. 10 minutes later I walked out. Plenty of staff who are in need of focusing on the customer rather than clearing tables and hiding behind the counter.

I’ve been here many times before for cake and coffee and love it. Today we went for lunch and it was wonderful. I had the halloumi and mushrooms which was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. This is my favorite cafe. The cakes are large and delicious. They have a lovely brunch menu and daily specials. It's a fantastic spot that I visit frequently and am never disappointed. It can get busy at times, so I recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. My favorites are definitely the granola bowl and the veggie goo with halloumi!

What a find! Such a fantastic visit to Black Goo nestled in the rafters of Home and Colonial, it’s rightfully busy a lot so it looks like it’s advisable to book, we visited on the off chance and they got us a table in 15 minutes, perfect amount of time to browse the aladdins cave and pop back and it was so worth the wait, I can’t wait to visit the rest of their cafes!

Had the bottomless afternoon tea I have ever had today !! Gorgeous homemade food and plenty of it. So nice to have a good range of savouries, sandwiches, sausage rolls and scotch eggs, along with scones, chocolate brownies and cup cakes. Even had boxes to take home any food we were unable to eat. I booked afternoon tea for a late Mother's Day celebration for three adults and two young children after reading the reviews and seeing the photos. It exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly, the portions were very generous, and it was well worth the money. The food was all freshly made and delicious. The other dishes coming out of the kitchen and the cakes on the counter looked equally tempting, with extremely generous portion sizes. They also offered a vegetarian option for afternoon tea. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon.

Visited in Nov and we returned today for an early Mothers Day afternoon tea. Booking in advance is a must and is easy to do online. We arrived at 1330 and were greeted by warm smiles and happy staff. We ordered our tea and the table was laid with the most enormous afternoon tea. Sandwiches selection was plentiful, huge sausage rolls, scotch eggs, cupcakes, brownies and the biggest scones I have seen. The tea pot was regularly refilled and the friendly staff checked in to see if we were happy. It was a flight as previously and we are already planning a return visit. Definitely recommended

I booked four days in advance for breakfast and was first through the door. The waitress couldn’t find my booking on her system (not the first time this has happened to me there), and made it plain that they were fully booked. Luckily, I had a text on my phone and a confirmation email, so she relented and gave us a table. After a nice breakfast, we asked for a second cup of coffee (it was my husband’s birthday, he deserved it), and were duly given one by a pleasant waitress. However, when another waitress noticed this, she came across to our table and WARNED us, (she actually used that word), that we only had 15 minutes to drink it, as our table was booked for future customers.
