Blue Lake - Menu

Stayed over in Horley during a business trip fancied a Chinese meal, having searched on TA I went to the Blue Lake was not disappointed. Polite staff good food at a reasonable price

Went on a busy Saturday night to celebrate a birthday staff friendly, no rush, great food. I agree with all the positive reviews if you like chinese food it is simply a nice place to eat.

5 of us went for evening meal which was excellent very tasty Chinese food served by the two sisters very busy restaurant and doing a lot of takeaways well worth a visit if you enjoy Chinese food

This was our first visit and we will definitely come back. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked beautifully and eating was a real pleasure. I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had the misfortune of walking into this vile establishment. We walked in with our 19 month old, no smile or hello, just we don 't have a high chair , rude vile staff. Would recommend people give this place a wide berth there are plenty of other better Chinese restaurants in Horley

While on vacation in England we stayed at a B B in horley and I was feeling poorly and didn’t want to go out for dinner. Got take away from Blue Lake which was delicious. Had the chicken fried rice wonton soup. Perfect meal to fortify while having a terrible cold. Will definitely go back there next time I’m in this area.

A welcome return to the Blue Lake where we found we were the only customers as it was a lunchtime. The menu has been updated, as has the all included buffet, but that has sadly also brought an increase in price. However, the service remains as excellent as ever with the 2 delightful girls ensuring that all is in order. Strongly our favourite Chinese restaurant.

Six of us went last night for a catch up. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive and friendly, even offering suggestions on dishes. Most importantly we were asked whether we had any food allergies. We started off with crispy roast duck and pancake rolls with spring onions and cucumber and hoisin sauce. Afterwards a medly of dishes including king prawns with ginger, crispy shredded beef, roast pork and singapore vermicelli and special fried rice. The portions were generous and we were too full for dessert. The wine was good and so were the beers. We had a lovely evening and will return soon.

My husband and I have been traveling in England for the last few weeks and we have had some outstanding meals in York, Oxford and Cheltenham. It is our last night here before we leave tomorrow and we had the misfortune to try this restaurant. We were willing to try the set menu for £22 each. We ordered a Tsintao each and a few appetizers and we were surprised when they arrived. Our hot and sour soup was overly thickened with cornstarch and all other offerings were deep-fried. After this course we were unable to eat anymore since what was to come would have been the same quality. We asked to pay for what we had and we were still charged £36 for this “meal”.
