"This was the worst experience I have encountered. Came here for some food with two friends and asked for menus to order, and was told the kitchen was now closed, so ordered some drinks. On sitting down after 20 minutes or so , we observed food being delivered to other tables for other customers. I them proceeded back to the bar to asked for menus again and was told the kichen is still shut, whilst food was still being brought out if the kitchen to other tables, for at least 45 minutes. We were made to feel incredibly unwelcome. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL TO THE AREA . YOU WILL NOT BE SERVED"

We frequently reserve the small function room for meetings at this restaurant. Carry and Coop provide excellent service and always take great care of us.

The lunch was absolutely fantastic at this pub. The food was beautiful and the service was friendly. I highly recommend this place, especially for dog owners as it is dog-friendly. I will definitely be returning.

I had a fantastic experience at this pub. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our dinner was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pub is located in a beautiful countryside setting and is well-maintained. I would definitely visit again in the future.

We ate here as a family at the end of our canal break. The owner was really friendly, there was lots of choice on the menu and the prices were great too. There's also a lovely open-air terrace that looks out onto the canal, and it's got a roof for when it rains! Highly recommended.

Stopped here for a rainy afternoon. The lunch we had was excellent, 3 of us had the spicey burger, one lasagne, one mixed grill one gammon steak (best for a long time). The portion sizes were good. The flavours were excellent and the service was friendly. The beer and gin were also good, and you won't be disappointed by the jam and sponge pudding with custard! We weren't rushed out but allowed to take our time.

I was here on business this time but have been here loads of time for business and leisure. The location right on the canal has been made the most off with a fantastic water level terrace. The pub itself is cosy and charming with fantastic hosts. The food is always hot and homemade and the range on the bar is decent in quantity and value. It's a great place to start or end a walk on the canal, A great place for Sunday lunch or a midweek treat with the family.

Have been on a canal holiday with my family 9 adults in total. Turned up after a difficult day, and the staff could not be more accommodating and welcoming. Our arrival was late for a Wednesday night but the chef kept the kitchen open. All meals were delivered to the table together, piping hot, and plentiful in size. For one lady to smash out our dinner was amazing. The bar staff were equally as helpful and friendly. I would ignore previous 1star reviews as I feel some people have unrealistic expectations

"BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT IN THE UK I visited based on previous reviews and the basis that they offered a tailored menu for my wife who has a Gluten allergy and an oil intolerance along with being a Vegan yep its a tough one. I called in advance and specified the dietary requirements for my wife and upon arriving at the restaurant were greeted by Amber who gave us a custom made menu from the chef which we didn’t expect. Awesome. My wife ordered the Buddha Bowl and I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki based on the recommendation from James who works at the bakery (we visited for coffee before the meal) and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The food arrived quickly and the serving was more than generous compared to any other Vegan restaurant I’ve been to and the choice of dishes is monster compared to other Vegan restaurants so there really is something for everyone. The only downside was that I couldn’t finish the sticky toffee pudding with custard and had to share with my wife!!! I never normally struggle with deserts! Overall, the staff (Amber and Alice) were super attentive and very knowledgeable about the food on the menu and the restaurant is by far the best for value for money and choice. We travelled over an hour to eat here and will be revisiting again to sample the rest of the menu. I was curious to read the negative reviews left here, but have put that down to stupid customers who probably aren’t Vegan and review fast food establishments like McDonalds shocking! Keep up the great work."
