Boatswains - Menu

it is worth staying here for lunch. the fish was fresh and tasty with abundant portions. would be stopped here again. had to wait a short time for eating, but they were pretty busy the day I visited.

when I had this pub, I sent all the workers for a meal to the victoria inn, who saw himself as it did. the bootswains at the kings arms is a standard pig, with service so lax that we abandoned to a dessert and...left

We had seen plenty of positive reviews on TripAdvisor, so had high expectations. It did not dissapoint. Fresh food, beautifully presented, delicious, large portions and great atmosphere. The service was fantastic and very attentive. We had recently got engage and were made to feel very...special.

Ate here on the Sunday night. The restaurant is part of the Kings Arms. Great seafood chowder (gluten free too! Lots of choice on the menu with lots of fresh seafood and fish. Plenty of choice if you are a meat eater too. Great service...and food came quickly but was very fresh. Definitely eat here again.

Had dinner there Saturday 19th June. Food was fantastic, I had both meat and fish. I had the fish goujons to start and the Ribs for mains . The fish was really fresh tasting and the Ribs were so good !! all six of us...had a great time in there. The staff serving us were really friendly which made for a great atmosphere . Highly recommended.

We had the most lovely meal the fish was superb the choice of dishes excellent we just were overcome by the freshness and brilliant cooking and the staff were lovely great bit of banter but done with professionalism. Our only sorrow is that they had...no tables left to book again before we return home but next time we will get better organised.

We ate here twice during our week’s holiday. Each time the food was excellent and without doubt the best food we ate in the entire Salcombe area, and we ate out a lot. We had lobster, scallops, king prawns, crab pasta, Goan fish curry, various...specials. Without exception the food was wonderful, and we are a fussy lot! The service was exceptional and our sleeping baby’s pram was readily accommodated, even at night. What can I say, except I wish we lived closer!

a visit to salcombe without at least one dinner in the boatswains is really not a visit to salcombe. cristine and her personal despite all the current difficulties still an excellent meal. the scallops as starter where perfect, followed by crab bake and...Salcombe ice cream. I feel that cooking and farewell at the boatswains are as good as anywhere they can go and should receive the highest reward and given the fact that all current problems cannot be better. All right.

I approached the host booth and asked if they book and was told that it was not just too foot in (especially the whole salcombe has this policy). no problem, we were owed a few days later in the city and planned an early dinner and with two children in the tow, which would probably work pretty well. 3 days later, and around 17.30 clock I went back to the host table to ask if they had a table for 6 adults and 2 children. After she was ignored by the host who was determined not to get in touch with me, she finally believed she had to do something about my presence.
