Looks can be deceiving. Would have normally ignored it waking past but tried it on a Taste deal and very pleasantly surprised. All round good taste and flavours and no bad choices. Most reliable and best value Indian I've found in Kings Cross area so far.

I was recently there with few friends. the atmosphere is very friendly and we were served with great care. we loved eating. curries were exceptionally good as they were less oily in contrast to many other Indian restaurant. it is a must visit place in kings cross or islington area.

does not definitiw the most delicious Indian retaurant I have tried to still the most generous portions, but the service was excellent and reasonable. all our dishes seemed incredible on the mild side, so if they like it spicy, they might ask them to add a small kick when they order. recommended, but do not expect to be blown away. friendly service and open late, this local Indian Bangladeshi food store is sweet and small, but rips off a mountain of eating. it is very cheap, £7.95 huhn tikka biryani with sweet curry. the garlic kings were mild, but something lacking taste. in any case, we were grateful to be fed in such a late hour before a long evening of work!

the curry night in the bombay lounge really liked us! the ambiente is simple, but it's clean. eating was great, came in reasonable time and the service was friendly and fast on its feet. the only problem was outside until the sink weather. it was very cold outside, and because the people left and came regularly, the room quickly went cold. but it is more of a design error of spatialities, instead of the problem of the restaurant, so I would not consider it a great thing. I come back if the weather is better:

the bombay lounge is a very small traditional Indian restaurant. as they enter, they are greeted with a warm smoked filled space, with bright red tables and a few paintings hanging on the wall. when I left, there were no other guests, but the restaurant was still cozy, because there are only about 5 tables in the main room when they were in. the rest of the seats is on the back of the restaurant. eating was pretty good. the portions were not too big, which is perfect for me because I can never eat much. it was good and the service was very friendly.
