"After a fairly catastrophic experience in eating with the family (they're visit from Spain the day before, this place has made our week! We were a little late for lunch according to German standards and were still welcome to take a place in the outdoor terrace that is limited by what I think is part of the historic city wall. What a beautiful place to sit in the historic city of Marbach! If I get it right, the place is run by a few middle ages. Instead of talking about the service, I would like to compare this as a lunch in your aunt, the really good home cooking and care to make things right for you. It is not the slim choreography they practice in hotels, but it certainly has its charm. The food is very good at home cooking, we had authentic house made mouthbags (with plenty of fleshy filling and easy on the veggies; they were certainly on the ground! and duck breast on sautéed beets and corn fritatas. Dessert was really good, especially the house made ice and sorbet. The price is very reasonable as the quality and preparation of food was quite excellent. We really enjoyed our lunch there very much!"

"We celebrated the baptism of my daughter and chose a buffet. The company was very friendly on the outdoor terrace with an aperitif. The ambience was beautiful, summery and very welcoming. Large plants, light chains, beach basket, sand chairs and beautiful large summer umbrellas offer a lot of shade. The tables were large and beautiful decorated with beautiful large lilies. The GIG appetizer buffet was great. Large selection of typical Swabian dishes to Couscous various salads and antipasti. Then there were salmon with shrimps, rust roasts, croquettes, loins, rice and salt potatoes. For the children there were also bims with nuggets or carvings, the panade here was particularly delicious and crispy and tasted the children mega. Soooo delicious! Meat on point! Everyone was thrilled! To dessert Duo of Panna Cotta and Mousse au Chocolat with fruit. Between the corridors you can enjoy the sun terrace and relax with delicious cocktails, long drinks and scorpions, accompanied by beautiful but not disturbing chillout and Latin music. A beautiful and well maintained place with a bowling alley and several rooms overlooking the Neckar. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Dogs are also welcome and you can refresh yourself for a drink bar for dogs. We are very happy about our selection and are sure we will celebrate there again. Until a new occasion we visit the restaurant for dinner. The managing director Jack Khano was very friendly in the interview and we felt very well advised. We all felt comfortable and can recommend this restaurant for a meal, family or celebrations."

"With a colleague and his arrest (including toddlers, we wanted to eat for a while. So often it is that either the pasta or the pizza stand. The pasta was clear here. But even the pizza should find enough customers when you believe the net and take away the traffic. But I wouldn't make the house extra. I think that one or the other competitor brings better arguments to the pizza plate. Maybe the spaghetti AOP would have, but I probably never know. "Nachdem wir völlig entnervt durch das langweilige, leere Geschäfte vorweisende, verschlafene und geschmacklos renovierte Marbach gezogen waren (nach einer ausgedehnten Wanderung nach einem Restaurant verzweifelt Ausschau haltend), kam uns das 'Al forno ' überaus recht. Direkt neben der einzigen Attraktion des Ortes gelegen, dem Geburtshaus von Schiller, konnten wir hier unseren großen Hunger bestens stillen. Der Koch kam sogar extra aus der Küche, um mit meiner Tochter die Zutaten für ihre laktosefreie Pizza zu besprechen. Das Personal insgesamt ist wirklich sehr kinderfreundlich! Das Essen wurde rasch serviert und geschmeckt hat es klasse. Dank dieses Restaurants war unser Besuch in Marbach kein reiner Reinfall."
