"We have been here a number of times, and have always been happy with the food and the service. Both seafood and meat are good, with some creative choices available, wines are reasonably priced, and service is amicable and timely.The location is quite nice, an easy walk from Bd St. Germain through nice side streets, and very close to Bon Marche department store. Ambiance is relaxed but not super-casual; no need to dress up particularly. Decoration is Art Deco style with many mirrored walls.Another advantage (for us, this will depend on your perspective...) is that it is child-friendly, which can be tricky for many of the small bistrots/brasseries. It is surprisingly large in terms of floor space, so finding space somewhere to stash a pushchair and adding a high chair to a table is eminently possible, as they don't pack tables quite as tightly as is often the case in Paris.They also provide a free childrens menu (not sure up to which age) including starter, main and dessert, plus colored pencils and a coloring book. My daughter's food was great, avocado-tomato-mozzarella, then chicken with potato mash, and a pretty full plate of cut up strawberry, banana and kiwi with whipped cream decorated into a face. They were very nice to her, and always asked us about when to take her plate, when to bring her the next one, not forcing her to be timed to our courses. Very sweet.Definitely recommend for a satisfying and not too pricey lunch or dinner if you are in the area."

The food in this restaurant is so delicious...Great place to eat lunch or dinner. Good place to sit and people watch too. They offer outside dining when the weather is good. Did not ever have a bad meal here. The desserts are scrumptious.

The brasserie Lutetia is a modern take on art deco: all steel, mirrors and round lamps, simply beautiful. The service is warm and attentive, ready to go the extra mile. Their menu is not long, but delicious, heavily biased on the seafood side - which they do very well. Warmly recommended!

Hello, if you want to meet a very very good restaurant to make business of to make a surprise to your wife, choose Lutetia. The place is full of history but renew; you don't have that old Paris aspect that lookalike everything is going down if you touch it! We went to a entire menu! Food were great and with a good value! 6 of us ate here for dinner. The service was very good but the food was very disappointing. One of us liver and it was inedible - a huge slab of liver with it's skin coating and grissle intact - no sign of any preparation. Another had lobster which looked feeble and the burgers were meager. The wines were over-priced. Of the 3 meals we had in Paris that weekend this was by far the worst. Could not recommend

On a four day visit to Paris with my daughter and son, staying at a hotel in St Germain des Pres, we walked around the neighborhood looking for a local brasserie, and chose Lutetia which seemed to have a good crowd for a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and the menu had a very limited selection and very, very pricey for this type of restaurant. None of our dishes, either appetizers or entrees, met a minimum standard, and we had to send back a 17 Euro pumpkin soup that tasted like water, and my son couldn't finish the rack of lamb as it was so tough.... Few times in my life have I felt so let down, paying a total of EUR 220 for such poor quality food!!! Needless to say, I would not eve...
