great brewhouse, eating was also good. recommend the mumme beer, dark and creamy. ate the oktopus and was surprised how good it was

the food was under par and pricy. it would not be going back there again. service was ok and so was the beer, but unlike that is a pass.

this old brewery is located near the center of wismar. it is very popular so it is recommended to preorder a table. eating is traditional German (heavy) food and they serve their own beer that is not so good. the prices are reasonable. service is...OK

Good beer in a cosy place, but ordinari food. My husband and I went here two times, one time just for drinking and the next for dining. The wienerznitzel where dry and so where the potatoes. We had a dessert, schokolad cake with vaillasause. It...was very good. The best about this place is the beer.

Brauhaus is where we went for lunch during our Friends of Dave Mega Mecklenburg Tour. I had the schnitzel and my wife had the fish and both were excellent. The Mum beer was good too. Frankly, the best part to me was the ambiance which...has hops hanging from the ceiling and classic German architecture.

We toured Wismar one evening a beautiful town! We walked to this establishment and sat outside everyone was sitting outside, thought the inside was very special and must be amazing in the winter. Anyways, back to the food. I had pork shank. It...was delicious. The serve German traditional fare and the also brew beer and distill whiskey. Would absolutely return here.

We stopped at Brauhaus am Lohberg for lunch with our Friends of Dave tour. It’s a brewpub, but we’re not beer drinkers, so cannot comment on the beers. The food was very good and the portions were huge. The pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce was...top notch and my husband said the goulash was very good. The food came out quickly. We ate outdoors which was nice for people-watching, but the uneven cobblestones made the seating a little precarious.

We found that Wismar, while smaller compared to other major cities in Northern Germany, is perhaps the most charming old towns in Northern Germany. Wismar’s old town is more compact than Rostock’s, Schewerin’s, and much lovelier than the old towns of Hamburg, Hannover, and Bremen....I think the comparable old town to Wismar may be the one in Stralsund. With many majestic Hanseatic heritage buildings in a compact area with lovely shops and cafes we highly recommend to visit Wismar.

We were participating in a guided tour to Wismar, while our cruise ship was docked in the port of Rostock After a walking tour of the town, our tour continued when our guide led us to the Wismar Brewery for some beer tasting accompanied by...pretzels. In the brewery, we were taken upstairs to a large dining room where we were seated at tables with seating for six people. This room and the other parts of the brew house which we saw had a nice ambience being decorated in traditional German style.
