"I normally do not like leaving poor reviews of restaurants, but felt I had to make an exception with this one.Based on the good reviews for this restaurant, my wife and I decided to visit it mid-week. Although it was as good as empty, it took a long time before we were given a menu. The service was very friendly, but too slow and inattentive (sadly all too common these days). The drinks took a long time to arrive, as well as the food, which turned out to be just about "edible". The dishes were bland-tasting and anything but a gourmet experience. Also the much-praised "momos" (pastries) were filled with an indefinable, neutral-tasting mush. After a few bites we simply left them alone. For this below average food quality, you really have to dig deep. We will not be returning, even if somebody else is paying next time! Verdict: poor"

The Owner is a Nepali Guy, we ordered for a clear soup with vegetables but were served Lentil soup and forced to accept. And upon argument,He straight suggested to leave the place OR simply accept his way of making dishes.

After having German cuisines for few days, it was time to visit a Asian/Indian restaurant. The place although a bit congested had a lot of warmth. The decor is beautiful and the food is also very tasteful. The server who was also the owner was very polite and happy to provide us the food. I recommend to visit this place. Visualizza piatti

The restaurant is located near the WDR and is a little difficult to find. The interior is from the typical German pub which was installed there before. The owners tried to hide it with a lot of Tibetan stuff which makes an original decor. The food looks and taste a little like from Indian food but is yummy. Try the Momo which are a little like Chinese dumplings. The people are really nice.

We stopped at the Buddha's eye on spec, as we are just passing through Koln overnight and it is close to our hotel. Not knowing what to expect, we ordered samosas, paneer saag and one of the dhals. While not at all hot spicy like some Indian versions, the food was flavoursome and plentiful for two people. We were very pleased we stopped - the service was quick and helpful. We would be happy to go back again and try some of the other dishes when we next visit.

If you get tired of typical German/Italian options in Cologne and/or have vegetarians in tow, this place offers a great alternative. A short walk from the Cathedral, it's a cozy, soulful spot run by quick, efficient and very friendly staff. Both vegetarians and omnivores will be catered to in the menu. The food is plentiful and mouth-watering at more than reasonable prices. I especially recommend trying the different types of naans and pakoris.Very pleased to have stumbled on this restaurant and will certainly be returning to it. Visualizza piatti

Im on lowcarbs at the moment and it was really hard to find a good choice to enjoy the evening at this place.I know the old Buddha's eye years back. Everyone got the Tibetan DimSum (Momok) 2 years ago and I had a curry. I regreted it. But then a few days ago, as I was there also with the roundtable, I ordered their Pork Momok and I didnt have better luck. The cooked DimSum was very dry. The dessert wasnt better at all. The atmosphere was a bit kitchy and it was too hut in summer day.Price (if the food was good) and Service were actually ok.

We came on a rainy afternoon and were made to feel very welcome. The interior is very colorful, with lots of prayer flags, and they play Tibetan music. The buffet is compact, but has great variety. There are two kinds of bread, three chutneys and a pickle, and a great selection of main dishes with rice. I recall 3 vegetarian dishes, a noodle dish (also vegetarian), cauliflower pakoras, and two meat stews. There was also an excellent yogurt dessert. The warmth of the welcome and the comfortable atmosphere added to the experience. This is a great place for good, affordable food near the cathedral.
