Met some friends for lunch midweek. Place not swamped but busy. Immediate seating and friendly staff. Drinks came out quickly as did our food. Food was tasty and freshly prepared. We ordered mustard eggs local favorite and asparagus with ham and potatoes asparagus season....Good cappuccino and espresso. Bathrooms upstairs, so not convenient for handicapped but outside seating is plentiful

I sat down and was approached within mins for my order. I told the server I needed another min and she never came back. For the next mins, she religiously avoided eye contact with me, avoided my table and finally, she had to...walk past me, I told her I would like to order. I obviously don't speak German from our earlier exchange and she also refused to speak a word of English to me even when I heard her with other customers. Totally a stuckup miserable cow. The place has a nice atmosphere though, but totally overshadowed by the waitress misery and bitterness in her life

This was my first visit to a book cafe, I must say I had a different picture in mind and my expectations weren’t met perce, what I saw was just an ordinary cafe and only upon exploring into the less crowded areas and past the...‘salon’ is where you find old books neatly arranged in a shelf in an empty room. I decided to sit outside because it’s summer,the beautiful weather calls for it,it took awhile to get service as I noticed only one lady was attending to all the customers however my cappuccino and cheese cake did arrive and I must say I was impressed with the cheese cake;not sweet and not blunt just perfect with a cup of coffee or tea if you like. I arrived at Cafe BilderBuch with a friend after work. Excited for the seemingly cozy atmosphere. Sadly, beside the look, the place offer nothing more than a bittersweet experience. I did order in German so I suppose the lack of empathy and friendliness is some...sort of guideline that the waiters are given. Two of them were especially rude and unprepared a woman and a young man. After me and my friend took place at one of the many sofa we have been immediately told that in case of a big group arrival we should have changed place which is ok, rude but ok, considering place was half empty.
