"I ordered the piece tapas plate €, and house red wine Wine was a transparent sorry excuse for red wine, with prices on wine in Germany, they should be able to do better .. Tapas was very bad presented, two...dishes in each bowl, microwaved to halfhot condition. None of the dishes tasted fresh. Some of them tasted very salty though.. clear evidence of a kitchen cutting corners, saving time and have no love for cooking"

Cafe Madrid is a favourite for a really tasty variety of food, bustling atmosphere and fast and friendly service. Good selection of wines that are not over priced and well implemented Covid protocols.

Have not been back to Café Madrid for some years now, but we finally were able to go there on our last trip to Leipzig. I always enjoy the food. We had the big plate with tapas variations enough food for us as a party...of and dessert and food was excellent. A great place to eat while you are in Leipzig, right in the city center area. But usually very busy so reservation is probably recommended
