Slap bang in Hitchin high street and seconds from the main market square this very nice outlet of the Cafe Rouge chain is a very handy place to stop and

Visiting Café Rouge in Hitchin is always a good experience. Good food, great value and friendly efficient staff. I use this restaurant regularly and take friends who have never experienced it.

Despite advertising for two course meal £12.95, was told on arrival that it only applied to starters and mains and not mains and desserts. Charged £12.95 for a single course from this menu told Gourmet Society card giving discount not applicable because this is a special menu! Overcharged poor service
