"a real old farmhouse in a few minutes near the train station Sierre with a cable car ride and a short walk or a minute taxi ride. the owner/cook had previously a career in international hotel management. when he went to rest, he came back to his birthplace to take over his old family village café. the kitchen is largely simple traditional regional cuisine, as it was probably done before or before years of its previous. not unusual food guide place, but simple authentic village gasthof eating and ambiente from another time. a different experience and than that often found in the chic food guides. English, French and German is not a problem for employees. the local weine are superior as some of the best local weinbergs are actually located in the village. eating is of simple authentic traditional sorts. Actually, I'm a food, but I enjoyed this less demanding simple good food experience. the prices are quite reasonable. the very impressive chateau mercier is on the minute way back to the cable car station."

Gorgeous! a very nice discovery, very nice restaurant run by enthusiasts, good cuisine, very nice wine list. We would perhaps have liked a slightly larger choice of starters so that we could take two or share one. We will come back

Very good. we all had different tatar .i had riz de veau, with fresh mushrooms. so delicious. the flesh Tatare, there are different ways he prepares. standard, Italian. very good. various fish tatar.one was salmon and lotte (seateufel). perfect!

sehr gut. Wir hatten alle verschiedene Tataren. Ich hatte Riz de Veau, mit frischen Pilzen. so köstlich. der Fleischtatare gibt es verschiedene Wege, die er bereitet. Standard, italienischer Stil. sehr gut. verschiedene Fisch Tataren. Einer war Lachs und Lotte (Seatenufel). perfekt !

we had our high-time reception here in 2017 and they were very happy to take the money then and it was very nice. we arrived today at a family dinner at 13h30 to say that it was too late for lunch. what kind of...adjustment is not open to lunch at 13h30 when the sign on the door says 14h30? we are very unimpressed.

Wir hatten unseren Hochzeitsempfang hier im Jahr 2017 und sie waren sehr glücklich, das Geld dann zu nehmen und es war sehr schön. Wir kamen heute um 13:30 Uhr zu einem Familienessen an, um zu erfahren, dass es zu spät für das Mittagessen war. Welche Art von Einrichtung ist um 13:30 Uhr nicht zum Mittagessen geöffnet, wenn auf dem Schild an der Tür 14:30 Uhr steht? Wir sind sehr unbeeindruckt.

Auf Empfehlung der Cave des Bernunes sind wir zum Mittagessen hochgefahren. Typisches Lokal der Gegend mit sehr freundlichem Empfang und Service. Eine der Hausspezialitäten, entrecôte parisienne , konnte leider nicht vollständig überzeugen. Mein Steak war geschmacklich gut aber sehr zäh. das meiner Frau war sehr gut. Womöglich müssen wir uns ein andermal auf eines der vielen Tatars konzentrieren. Die Weinkarte ist sehenswert viele Raritäten aus der Gegend teilweise aber zu sehr hohen Preisen aber eben: Raritäten. Wir kommen aber gerne wieder.

"We have been coming back to Crans Montana every year for 16 years we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingredient. Meanwhile, the rest of the people I was eating with were waiting to eat their food and of course 20 minutes later, their food was cold. Mistakes happen, I understand but the worst part about the experience was the response and attitude to the mistake. No coming to the table while I was waiting for the food to apologize, explain the mistake and even when the food finally came and we were quite cross with the delay, no real sense of an apology, just very cold and matter of fact. Finally, when we asked one waiter for the bill, we waited 20 minutes only to have another waiter give us the dessert menu and had to ask for it all over again. Additionally, even though our experience was tainted by the bad service, I can honestly say the food was bland. A few people at our table got the quinoa curry dish and there was little to no hint of curry flavor and the seitan, when it finally came, felt like it was just thrown in with a watery broth. So overall, although it’s in a great location and has a nice terrace, I wouldn’t recommend Le Farinet go to one of the other lovely restaurants in Crans Montana, and you’ll have a better experience."

Und sie dann auf überraschende Weise kombinieren? Ein kluger Mann, der Didier de Courten.Wir waren 40 Meilen entfernt in Champery und nur für ein paar Tage. Aber das Essen war so gut, dass wir einen erneuten Besuch in Betracht ziehen. Wir haben widerstanden. Spezielle Mahlzeiten sollten etwas Besonderes sein einmalig. Bis wir als nächstes im Wallis sind."
