The service was quick and friendly; they managed to find us a table when we arrived on Saturday evening without a reservation. The food was excellent!

the venue is beautiful, the employees were very accumic and immediately asked if we were vegan / vegetarian. eating was really good and the portions were quite large! cheap placed in the city and was really good value for money. would definitely recommend the massaman curry.

after eating in pubs this was a blessing, I love Asian cuisine this was fresh crispy aromen, mushroom sauce used to replace oyster sauce. many of friendly staff to choose. tofu satay was perfect. the 2hr trip will come back and eat here after an ascent! they serve meat but still a restaurant to check

the owner assured me that 30% of his customers were vegan, so I asked if he could make a vegan pad thai. of course he said. I checked it was all vegan with him when I collected it, he was quite rude, interrupt me and again he said many vegan customers. I got it home and there was a very warning when they are vegan. Top marks for following the Track and Trace guidelines and social distancing norms. Great! You're doing a service to the nation. Now coming to food It was OK. I'm obviously coming from high standards after dining Thai food at Jasmine chain of restaurants in Tokyo, and Bangkok Lounge in London, so with respect to that, I think this lacked authenticity. The flavour of lemongrass needs to be pretty visible (metaphorically) through the food. The Green curry could have done with more coconut milk and you need to use Jasmine rice for white rice. The fish was awesome, it was sweet, tangy and sour. It could have done with more garnishing. Presentation was pretty simple.

Chang Thai Cuisine is in the old Cognac pub building. They have refurbished it very nicely and not over the top Thai style. We were one of the first in for the evening but there was a certain amount of confusion over what we had ordered, an extra coke that we ended up paying for. Our starters of veg spring rolls and fish cakes were very good and presented well. The mains became very confused, wrong rice quickly corrected but ended up with 3 mains, 1 of which was definitely correct but not sure which of the other 2 we should really have had! Despite all this the food itself was very good. We had missed one vital point. You can only pay cash! Really not good enough. Luckily we could still pay....

Out of all the restaurants myself my partner visit, this beautiful, little restaurant is by far our favourite and the one we frequent the most. Not once have we ever left there disappointed or not quite satisfied by the food. Whenever we visit I can't help but try the Thai curries, but on our last visit we decided to try their Chinese dishes for a change. For our mains we had the chicken szechuan, chicken chow mein, and the sizzling beef it was quite simply delicious! The real winner though was the banana fritters and coconut ice cream that we had for our desserts I won't go on to tell you how incredibly good they were, just try them for yourself if ever you visit!
