"Oh my god, it was a year ago when we visited last. The food then was brilliant, but this surpassed every expectation. The sardines as a starter and the garlic and chilli prawns which we kind of shared were outstanding, I had the veal as my main with black olives and capers in a rich sauce, I’m still dreaming of it, the other half had the seafood pasta, he wouldn’t give me a taste as he hugged his bowl with a broad grin on his face, so took that to be a hit. Dessert I had the lightest tiramisu ever, he had I don’t know what, he wouldn’t tell me, but it was so delicious, he admitted in the car on the way home he had just taken a stab at the desert menu as had forgotten his glasses, but I’m glad he did."

"Parking is available, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. They also maintain good social distancing measures. The food was absolutely outstanding—definitely the best I've ever had. If you love fish and seafood, the selection here is amazing. If you're not a fan (like my sister, who can't stand it), the options are more limited, but still very tasty. My brother-in-law and I sampled each other's dishes, as well as our sisters' meals, and everything was delightful. The portion sizes are perfect, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I can't recommend this place enough! I can't wait to go back again and again."

"So garden of India is basically Raj Lodge they are both as disappointed as it's other for example I ordered this evening and I ordered double the amount I didn't get double there now I got the same amount split between a double amount of packaging along with that the food is horrible there was no flavour other than vinegar I was really disappointed and even more disappointed when I found out that Raj Lodge and India garden are the same place because Raj Lodge is a load of rubbish........."

"The décor is mostly dark, with black-painted features and walls adorned with some sort of glittery black paint, complemented by black shutters on the windows. However, the food was delightful, with flavorful accompaniments that perfectly complemented our starters. We especially loved the salads, which were topped with pomegranate seeds and walnuts. Starving, we devoured the delicious pizza-like bread rather quickly, but our excellent server was kind enough to bring us more. For starters, we ordered the scallops and hummus, both of which were wonderful. For our main courses, we had lamb shank and a creamy chicken and mushroom dish. To finish, I enjoyed the banoffee dessert, which I found truly delicious. They also have a fantastic cocktail menu, although we didn’t get a chance to try it. Thank you for a lovely meal and your outstanding service!"

"I really don’t like leaving negative reviews as I like to think a bad experience can be turned around if dealt with correctly at the time. You can probably guess by my rating that this was not the case. We booked a table a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the end of our children’s SATS, we were a large party made up of 8 children and 6 adults. Unfortunately things were not promising from the off. It took 40 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. Then another 30 mins to take our food order. Our mains arrived when our starters hadn’t even been cleared. We then sat there for over an hour after finishing our meal waiting for someone to come and clear the plates. We also waited a long time for second drinks to arrive (water for the children got completely forgotten). We twice had to get up and go and find a member of staff. I ended up asking a waiter to please assist us as we had been waiting so long. He then proceeded to ask what desserts we wanted so I pointed out to him that he may want to clear the table first. We then got our desserts but we were missing a coffee and a dessert so had to wait again! Then whilst eating our desserts a chef came out from behind the kitchen with a large grey box and started clearing all the plates into it. It was laughable at the stage as it felt like we were in a school canteen as he was resting the box on the dinning tables! He should not have had to do this but was being quite vocal that there was staffing problems. By this stage we had quite enough as what was suppose to be a pleasant evening of celebration ending up being overshadowed by the never ending delay and non existent services. We asked to see the manager who seemed to take forever to come to our table (probably for fear of what to expect). When she eventually turned up and we explained how unhappy we had been with the service, we were told that it was due a never ending list of things from sickness, lack of staff, that Pizza Express offered too many deals which meant they couldn’t cope with the amount of customers coming through the door. So Pizza Express, if you actually take time to read reviews, please can you… 1: Hire enough staff 2: Train your staff 3: Ensure the manager is able to be on the restaurant floor at all times as how can they manage what is going on if they are stuck at a coffee machine at the back. 4: If the restaurant is short staffed, allow the manager to turn customers at the door away, as you would rather offer 50 people good service than 100 people bad service, do the maths, it’s not hard to work out how many people you will gain or loose from their experience with you, as this evening you have definitely lost the business from 5 sets of families."

"I have mixed the feeling of this place, on one side it is more expensive than its typical Turkish kebab restaurant, but on the other side it is also better. the schish kebabs are all excellent, but if I had to choose my favorite, this is lamm. the haloumi also makes a good option if they are a vegetarian and even if they are not worth it. I find the personal hot and cold sometimes they can be very nice and helpful if it is different than if they are indifferent to their insubstance. still over a street is far too many grouse almost food restaurants this place stands out."

"i ordered a cheese burger as a meal waiting time 15 minute they served 2 people before me even if they came after me, bread not toasted and very cold they just put a hamburger into the cold bread not even toasted!!!! cheese not melted at all completely cold and chips UNDER cooked !!when i tell to them they only said can i make another one ? why they should make another one ? why they can't make food properly to people? very disappointed i just left the place . never come back !"

"I wouldn’t recommend the cheesy chips with bacon bits. There was hardly any cheese or bacon, and they arrived stone cold. You’d be better off ordering regular chips with your meal, as you get much more for your money. The food was just okay; I remember it being better when it was Hungry Horse, with higher quality food and better value. I've visited a few times, but both the food and service seem to have declined. It felt like they were trying to cut costs on staff as well as the ingredients. There were only two people serving all night, and while they did their best to keep up with a busy restaurant, it just wasn’t enough. It might be a while before I decide to go back."

"My partner and I used to order from here frequently. Some times they delivered the wrong food and when we phoned up to have the correct dish, the customer service was abrasive at best. Still we ordered from them because we had got used to our usual order and the restaurant delivery guys were used to where our flat was (it is a bit difficult to find). We always wondered why they needed to take the wrong delivered dish back with them, we joked that they were re-using it but in all honesty we thought that management just wanted to see the dishes for themselves and take action about it. Tonight however, when another wrong dish was delivered and we put the rest of the delivery in the oven to keep warm and phoned up to get the correct one, they revealed the reason why. Can we re-use it? My partner asked what they meant and they asked if it had been put on a plate otherwise they could send it to another customers house! Well, one lie from a customer wanting a refund about it not being put on a plate or not eating a bit of it from the box and BAM the restaurant now feels that it is perfectly ok to deliver that same box of food to the next customer who orders it! Absolutely sickened, we refused the correct dish the delivery guy brought to us bearing the brunt of his rudeness and lack of customer care because we refused to give him the wrong dish so he could re use it. (I was happy to let him see it so he could confirm it was the wrong dish, just did not want to enable this restaurant to re-serve food) We asked instead for a refund for the whole meal as we would not be eating any of it, but he was highly reluctant to pass the message along so we called up the restaurant instead. The restaurant refused to give us a refund and passionately argued their right to re-sell and re-serve food that had left their kitchen and gone to a strangers house despite their inability to 100% say it has not been contaminated or dropped on the floor and put back in the box for example. Trust me, if you don 't want an upset stomach or worse, DO NOT go here. I have contacted the Food Standards Agency and Environmental health. The actions this restaurant takes does not protect their customers health and I am sure violates basic food hygiene practices."

"Great food and good value takeaway. The service is a little slow and they can get the orders wrong sometimes and omit small items but we use them regularly. The shoddy service is compensated by the flavoursome food with the mix of well cooked meats...and vegetables in tasty sauces. Their pricing is very competitive and they deserve a star review but... As mentioned earlier, Their service is a little haphazard. They usually say it will take minutes to deliver but on busy days... Add another half hour. Again, this is compensated by the quality and value of the food. So in summary, I would recommend this, even though I may be shooting myself in the foot as the delivery time will be even longer!!!"

"We ordered the other day the girl that took out order sounded like she didn’t know what she was doing, took ages for her to sort our order out and when it turned up it was wrong but as it take too long to reorder we just ate it, then next day my wife was I’ll with possible food poisoning , there food has gone down hill so bad now, will not be ordering food from there anymore , wouldn’t recommend one bit , there are other Chinese restaurants in Harlow witch are much better than this place, food is mostly always over cooked over spiced like they don’t know how to cook , was a great place years ago but now it’s a disgusting place to buy from ,LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!"

"We are a normal family who are not fussy eaters but we enjoy a good takeaway and reading the reviews on here and other sites we decided to order a takeaway from here on Saturday 1st February 2020. Got through to the restaurant they said they were busy and there may be a delay which wasn’t a problem to us. The food arrived and I wished I hadn’t bothered. We had ordered prawn balls which were under cooked not crispy and looked like an Australian Witchttey grubs. The spare ribs sauce was so salty it made the ribs inedible as was the duck dish and the shredded chilli beef. The spring rolls were only half full and in my opinion undercooked. The only edible thing was the noodles and rice which is very difficult to get wrong. I appreciate that most of the reviews on here are for sit down restaurant but one would expect that the food would be of the same standard. We will never eat here again and I would advise anyone else thinking of ordering a takeaway to think twice before ordering as the food was awful."

"Went to KFC used the drive through around 4pm on a Sunday it was very quiet only about 4 vehicles in front. Order taken politely and drove round to pay and collect food this is where it started to go wrong had to park up as no chicken was informed it would be 5 minutes, 15 minutes later when everyone who parked up after us had there food we were eventually given ours, ordered 2 fillet burger boxed meals which arrived with everything thrown into one very small paper bag with items missing. Went inside to get my missing items and the staff were so very very rude and with a couldn’t be bothered attitude every time I tried to speak to someone I was ignored. Eventually someone spoke to me and my missing items were handed over. Food cold and the chips were disgusting cold and undercooked. The beans which were missing were disgusting looked liked they had been there all day they were dry and stuck to the bottom of the pot in one lump, I looked for a use by time and there was nothing one on the pot, I’m not surprised!!!! All in all a complete waste of money. Never again!!!!"

"I experienced some unfriendly service during my visit. After we received our starters, our plates were promptly cleared as soon as we finished, and our main courses were served without any space in between. This felt quite unacceptable. It seemed like we were rushed to eat and leave. Additionally, the waitstaff stood too close to our table, which made it uncomfortable to have a private conversation. It's really disappointing because the food was actually lovely, but I unfortunately wouldn't choose to return."

"Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had in a cafe, as I waited 45 mins for cheesy chips and paid £4.75 to which I had to chase 4 times for but was told they forgot about the chips in the microwave. Given the perfect location next to pets corner, you would have thought that service would be better but it seems as though it’s run by volunteers than actual paid staff who don’t really want to accomodate paying customers. To charge £12+ for pizzas, you’ll probably be waiting an hour for it to be cooked and then the cost of drinks is a bit of a joke. Yes, you’ve got inflation but provide a decent service if you’re going to be charging prices of that stature. Need to get their act together or they’ll lose a lot of custom, not just for them but also for the farm run by volunteers!"
