Curry Baude - Piatti

OK for a quick tasty snack and very convenient if you are visiting the Berlin Underwelten tour. Surprisingly tasty if you are in the area and peckish, but not exactly haute cuisine!

I thought it was strange they use real plates! They food was great and the people eating there were fun to talk to. Definately eat here is you are going to do the underground tour since it's so close.

Right on the corner across Holiday Inn mitte Hotel you can find best curry wurst. All meat is fresh and from own butcher. On top service is local and personal:) Super! For all your tourist out there to have local bite go here! Visualizza piatti

We walked by a couple times and there were always people eating here, so we tried the bratwurst. It was way better than we would expect from a place that's right next to the entrance of the metro; and better than any other wurst we had in Berlin!

This is an ideal place to stop outside Gesundbrunnen station for a quick German snack. We had a mixture of Currywurst, Bratwurst and Schnitzel. All tasty and tremendous value for money. A lady having her snack said it was double the cost in Alexanderplatz. Highly recommended.

I have been working my way through Berlin currywurst establishments for a couple of years now, and this one is the best tasting yet, so I will definitely be going back for more. The ketchup at this place is amazingly good! My favourite was the chilli wurst which wasn't very spicy at all, only mildly. That's probably the one I recommend as it still comes with the ketchup and curry powder. They speak little English but enough to be able to order what you want. Definitely recommend this place. It's a little further from the city centre but worth it!

We tried the curry sausages without "skin". The sausages were juicy, big and smokey-tasting, but the curry sauce was the highlight of this dish. They are not using the typical ketchup-curry powder mix, but a real curry-tomato sauce I think, very good. You can choose crispy bread or frensh fries for side dish. The snack stand is a bit hard to find so better ask locals for directions. The prices are cheap and there is enough space for many people to eat at their place.

We wanted to start our (lost the count..) Berlin weekend with a genuine currywurst; the husband had done some research and had come up with a top 10.. Since we had already tried the famous Konnopke Imbiss at Eberswalder Strasse (nice!), we wanted to try another location.. Choice for Baude was made because of practical locations on our way from TXL airport on Ringbahn, plus the very positive comments about the quality & nice staff. Even it was 3 in the afternoon, the place was well filled (standing tables), but service wa VERY swift, the currywurst & fries real hot & crispy, and indeed, a very easy going, friendly service with a smile!!
