Da Mamma - Piatti

As the name indicates, Mama is present in "Da Mamma". The food and sweets are excellent, and the staff is very friendly. Everything seems to be home-made according the proprietor’s recipes.

We were looking for somewhere quick and easy and this place had good reviews. We chose to sit inside, though I am sure it is more relaxing outside. The service was quick and friendly and the food was good.

Just had a wonderful dining experience at Da Mamma. Mamma cooks every dish and desert on site. The Tiramisu and cannolis are great. Mama came and talked with us with help from her cook/translator. She's warm and fun to meet. All in all it was a delightful dining experience. Visualizza piatti

Nice place on one of principal streets on edge of old town. Nice outdoor seating area and good service, a lot of locals dined when we were there. We selected partly due to diverse menu choices for our group, the food was good, not great, but this is not a fine dining location. Reasonably expensive, as we found most places in Switzerland to be on this trip.

You cannot go wrong with Da Mamma, we had the best dinner in our entire vacation in Switzerland. A true authentic Italian cuisine with a passionate cook who clearly takes great enjoyment in bringing you the best food possible and taking good care of her guests (if you want more I'd be happy to bring you some extra). Prices are low for Swiss standards, so what are you waiting for?

We got to Chur at about 3 pm,10 of us.we wanted Italian food,so the hotel gave us a couple of recommendation.We called Da Mamma,they were about to close,but said come over.We were greeted by genuine,friendly welcome from Mamma ,her hostess and cook.They prepared fresh,made to order,variety of authentic dishes.coupled with very good choices of wine.Everyone left impressed by the whole experience. Don't let the simple facade fool you. Located in a storefront 10 minutes walk from the train, this tiny gem offers all one might wish for in Italian dining: jovial proprietress in the kitchen and at your table, attentive staff in tee shirts, jeans & aprons, outstanding wines(Mamma's choice) and richly savory dishes I'll likely not taste again, at least not in the US. In short, this place is fantastic. Our party of 10 did not phase them. Mamma even offered to stay open so we could enjoy our meal...and what an experience it was. Words seem inadequate to describe the meal. If you like Italian cuisine, don't pass up this place.

Huge disappontment. I found this place online by searching for gluten free restaurants, and I called them in advance to let them know of my special condition. I was very happy to hear that they can make anything I want, from pasta to pizza, and also the owner offered to bake some fresh bread for me. When we got there, I had only two options ... pasta with tomatoe sauce or pizza. I opted for pizza and it was a tragedy. I never ever ate a pizza so horrible in my entire life; the daugh was made out of toast bread, and the toppings were tasteless. Why advertising your business as gluten free if you cannot deliver a eatable meal? Gluten free doesn't mean low quality food, and those who are affect...

For most visitors, eating out at good restaurants in Switzerland proves to be expensive. In the "German" speaking regions of the country the cuisine tends to be very hearty and frequently prepared with wonderful, rich dairy products such as cheeses, cream, and sour cream. After a week of rich food, Da Mamma was a great change of pace. Located in Chur's beautiful and charming old town, Da Mamma closes early - around 18:30 - as most locals eat their main meal at noon which is when Da Mamma is busiest.
