"After a busy day at the thermal spa, we decided to visit the boathouse located on foot to our hotel. Even without reservation, we were lucky to have a place outside on the terrace and enjoy the great view over the Neckar and the mountains. Unfortunately there is still a well-run road in between. In addition to the menu, the homepage also provides photos and makes you feel more. The service was a bit cozy, we had to wait long before we were noticed at all. This was the waiting time for food and beverages (if you had finally ordered them shortly. The menu offers appetizers/ snacks (from 6.50€ , pasta (from 10.50€ , salads (from 8.50€ , burgers (from 13.50€ ), fish dishes (from 20.50€ , meat dishes (from 11.50€ and desserts). In addition to soft drinks, wines, champagne, beer and hot drinks, many liqueurs, long drinks and aperitive are offered. We ordered beer (0.5l to 3.90€ . At the end of the meal there was an Aperol Sprizz (0,2l to 5,30€). We chose fried chorizo (8,50€ with aioli, salad and Panini Rustico. The sausage was very nicely roasted, spicy, greasy and delicious. The aioli with beautiful garlic notes, the colourful salad blend made with a light dressing and the panini still warm. The man chose the Texas Bacon Burger (17,50€ with 360g Beef, Steakhouse Fries and Salad. The burger was well covered with onions, corn, Kidney beans and BBQ sauce. There were also ketchup and majo from squirrel. The salad dressing as with the appetizer, the fries well seasoned and cherry. The burger looks rather unspectacular on the photo, was tasteful but convincing. I chose a mixed salad with inlaid feta and panini (approximately 12€ . My request to get the salad without olives could not be met, as the mix for the salads has already been finished, they have to whip themselves out. Ok....... At least the olives were not acribically small and also only made 1/3 of the salad. The remaining mixture consisted predominantly of green leaf sores and an amount of fetabröckchen inlaid. These were very tasty, but in the crowd something smitten. The well-dosed Balsamico dressing was suitable. Conclusion: Just when you can sit outside, the location is very nice. However, I did not find the selection in the menu so appealing. The man found his food good, I mean less. Therefore, we would definitely go to the boathouse again on the one or the other drink on the sun terrace, but at least I would not have to eat there anymore (or only Chorizo)."

interesting restaurant location at the teaser - must be great in summer. good German eating, relaxed atmosphere. on the grounds of the heidelberger ruderverein. a reservation may be required at the weekend. pay attention to the description of the road - they work, but the entrance is on the side facing away from the river.

I was there with a couple of colleagues to dinner. the first four came first and were covered on a table for four people. then a group of more 3 people joined and we wanted to sit together. the owner had a really difficult time to adapt to the concept, and after a few minutes “creative thinking” and some distractions in the name of the owner we managed to convince him owners to group us together. about dinner itself – it was pretty good and the service was also good. the best at restaurant is the view of the terrace. when they go and the weather is nice – do not hesitate to sit outside.
