"The restaurant is a little further out which is fine. However the restaurant and atmosphere is very mediocre. When we arrived there was someone actually having their hair dyed on another table (turned out to be the owners daughter) . We asked if they can be moved which they did do but the hygiene aspects are questionable. I had the New Zealand steak and was the only one to have this and I my stomach still does not feel right. Not sure if it was this steak or something else. Bottom line- would I recommend this place, def not, I simply cannot believe this is the best steak restaurant in Oslo based in tripadvisor ! Been warned"

I have veg fejitas in dinner and it was very delicious. royal house lived up to my expectations. the ambiente was great and the service was also very good. I'm going back.

I had a Canadian filet and it was amazing, but a bit expensive. Additional attention could be brought to side dishes for the price. A great address for meat lovers though.

Had the best steak ever cooked to perfection, tasty and a good size ! Enjoyed the jacket potato too. Venue is on a quiet street and authentic taverna style with friendly staff ????????????

The staff were very friendly. The ambiance is nothing special for a steakhouse. We asked for medium rare and got medium, so while the meat was good it was overcooked for our liking. The salmon was really good.

My friend and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant. I ate Spare ribs, and a friend of Canadian fillets. everything was insanely delicious. A little more expensive than other restaurants, but the quality is worth it. Definitely recommend and will definitely return to this restaurant.

beautiful enough space, but ultimately disappointing. the steak was very well cooked and the star of the show, but that was not quite enough to hide the fact that the rest of the food, wein and worth extremely cut. it was a beautiful rib eye accompanied by frozen chips and frozen calamari. steak good, recovery felt like it came from a catering car and was not at all fresh what they would have expected for the price. the personal was nice if a bit on the over 130 € options that I would certainly have been overwhelming.

It was a nice rib eye accompanied by frozen chips and frozen calamari. Steak good, rest felt like it came off a catering wagon and was not at all fresh which you would have expected for the price. Staff were nice, if a bit keen to upsell to the over €130 options which I am sure would have been underwhelming.
