"Came with my partner and little boy for a rare meal out, ordered 2 mixed grills, kids meal and some sides. Everything on mixed grill was lovely except for the gammon which was horrendously salty and rendered the meat completely inedible unfortunately. The reason for my low stars didn’t lie with the food, but sadly the staff who appeared rude, aloof and watched our table like hawks for the entirety of our meal, at one point there was 3 staff and the chef looking over and staring. It made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout the duration of our meal. We left half our meal and paid immediately not able to get out of the uncomfortable experience quick enough! Was a relief to leave those doors and we shan’t return under any circumstances. Avoid this establishment. Paid £70 to be made to feel like we’re doing something wrong!"

"that's great, we had the garlic bread with melted cheddar star. the brot had a big crust, but the inner was light, and as for the cheese, only look at my reviews attached photo. for a porn we had the lamb, the red wine and minze gravy was luscious. I had made the lamb medium and it was amazing, juicy still tenderly cooked. the other member of my party prefers her to be lamming good, and they were as happy as I was lamming."

"Came for the first time for a family meal and was impressed, although all staff I saw was young they was all polite and in good spirits which is refreshing and very nice to see as in most places look like they can’t be bothered to be there. Food was lovely although burgers abit dry. Was slightly on the expensive side but for a treat we didn’t mind as food was nice and service spot on. However, I did have a couple of gins which I asked for no ice and both times came with ice but we was a big table and staff did seem busy so didn’t mention it. Would recommend!"

"First time here for us was recommended by two friends who live in Bolsover ..we drive 100 miles from Bedfordshire every 6-8 weeks and bring our poodle to the groomers and breeders for his hair cut. And we have something to eat whilst waiting the 2 hrs for him. Today we came and had a lovely breakfast and one of the nicest cappuccino I have ever had! The service was brill , food perfect and the lady who served us a delight I didn’t get her name but she’d just come back from her holiday.. so thank you for a lovely breakfast and we will be back again. Toilets spotless and decor perfect we loved it ty"

"Not what it was. The food was OK if extremely samey. There's nothing that shouts out individuality, and you could write the menu before seeing it . The atmosphere is becoming more motorway services than cosy country pub. They have added tables everywhere even cutting into the bar area which always served as a decent bar previously. As a local, its properly disappointing. Service was good although the waiters didn't know the specials and the board was too far away to see. Surely every restaurant starts each shift with a briefing on such things?"
