The Duke of Sussex is a stunning pub with really wonderful, inventive Spanish cuisine. Whether you are going out with friends for dinner, a lazy Sunday lunch or popping in for a quick drink on the way home from the shops, this is a greatly great spot. The garden is huge and kids are welcome.

We had the best time at the Duke of Sussex. We pre-order some sharing tapas which was so delicious! And had the most friendly staff! What an amazingly night in a beautiful pub. A big shout out to Ugne, Pesi, James and Cal, who went out this way to make a really special night for my mum. We’ll be back!

This pub on the borders of Acton and Chiswick was revisited recently after a long break, when the Spanish-accented food itself was perfectly acceptable and tasty, but the service was just as slow as we had remembered it before. We sat at table at 12.30 and were finally served at 1.15 after the server had mis-heard my wife's order of a seafood paella when further time had been needed to prepare it. As the single server had both the restaurant and the bar to contend with one took a view that understaffing was a continuing source of delay.....hence the relative markdown. Visualizza piatti

Whilst I really love this pub for the welcoming staff and traditional feel, the food itself is a real let down. We were a part of four and all of our dishes were mediocre and very expensive for what we got. My Sunday roast was pitifully small (one carrot sliced in half, a couple of small potatoes), stone cold Yorkshire pudding. Surely vegetables don't cost that much? The apple desert was dripping in water and when the lovely lady replaced it, it was left uneaten by our party. Not sure why, but guessing it was to do with lack of taste. I really hope that this can be fixed, because this pub has everything else going for it.

Prominent corner pub facing Acton Green. There's a traditional feel about the place with a large central bar and a more formal dining area, complete with chandeliers. There is also a lovely secluded garden with plenty of shade. On the bar are five handpumps, although only three were in use at the time of my visit, but all featured ales from smaller local breweries. The menu isn't huge but includes some interesting choices and the food was exceptionally good I enjoyed the pan fried sea bass which was perfectly cooked and came with a lovely crispy skin something I struggle to achieve at home. I went to the Duke of Sussex pub. We were a group of 8 that easily fit on to a long table that had two other guests on already. This table could have easily fit 14 people. The staff were difficult borderline rude about this despite the fact that the people on the table were more than happy for us to join their table. From then on the staff seemed to have a vendetta against are table. No one optimised this more than the woman running the pub quiz. She made multiple comments about us sitting at the table for no reason. During the evening we were not taking part in the pub quiz and instead we were just talking amongst ourselves.
