"We had dinner for two in Emporio. For the interior, one would probably not pick this restaurant as it is old fashioned. However, it has a great atmosphere and the food is very good with different fare than you will find in the standard Italian...restaurant. As a starter we had pasta and carpacio. The pasta was great; the carpacio was a litlle bit too cold. It must have been frozen. Our main course were great. The restaurant has a great selection of reasonably priced fish. Our fish was cooked to precision and served without bells and whistels. The restaurant has a small selection of also reasonably priced wine. The service is very professional. All in all, a nice little gem of a restaurant in the Neuhausen neighbourhood"

I have eaten many times in Emporio and the restaurant never disappointed me. This was the first time since a year that I came back. The pasta with truffel was excellent and the sole from the grill exactly as it should be. The prices are still very reasonable. The staff is very attentive. The place was full (as always) and reservation is required. Highly recommended.
