"During our last visit to the Expitas restaurant, we were unfortunately witnessing a noticeable decline in quality. To my regret, the popular rib day was abolished, which was already a bad omen for the evening. The disappointment started at the appetizer. The Cheesy Nachos, which were previously served with a hearty bean, came this time with grass-tasting guacamole. The interplay of guacamole and Cheddarkäse thus failed any taste. The otherwise customary, colorful garnish from paprika cubes was completely missing. The ribbing lengths were dry, smaller than usual, and in comparison to previous visits were also sweetly oriented. In the past, the ribs were garnished with paprika cubes, this time this loving addition was completely absent. Individual parts of the meat were noticeably dry and dark. A light of the evening was the pork chop: thick, juicy and hot served. However, the supplement, so far bacon beans, was replaced by black beans. Unfortunately, these were a bit watery and could not convince. The atmosphere in the restaurant was further affected by the visibly tense service staff, although the food was served quite quickly. The changes in the menu and the declining quality of both the food and the presentation leave a negative impression. It remains to be hoped that the restaurant returns to its former quality."

Unfortunately, the services were not well organized. A chair was not brought despite 2x asking, a drink was half-cleared away, seat cushion for the child we should look for ourselves. Food quality was rather poor and not mexican at all.

One of the coolest restaurants I’ve ever been to!Nice and authentic decoration and interesting architecture.We had Dinner buffet 17,90€ per person. Not cheap, but very delicious!Unfortunately we have been there a little late so they ran out of dessert. A rich drinks menu with authentic Mexican sodas, liquors, beers etc.The restaurant is a tipp for tourists as it is not near the city centre. But the tramway 3 to Taucha and the 3E to Sonnenfeld take you there. I thin the Station is Portitzer Allee. And from City centre or Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) it still is in one fare zone.
