"But turned out to be rather disappointing, My first thought when entering this eaterie was, how boring the decor , I felt catapulted back into the 70s , the greeting was polite but soulless, and my heart sunk immidiatley the menu can only be described as very very tired and old fashioned. Our order was taken swiftly and our choice of wine by the glass was delivered promptly.Pleasantly surprised, the white burgundy was excellent , properly cooled and the glass filled generously, but that's where the good stuff ended,My partner and I ordered the "bouillabaisse fischhaus style" What we got was a lukewarm tomato broth with tiny scraps of undefinable fish in it. Almost criminal to call this a bouillabaisse. The bread placed on the table was a couple of stale cut pieces of baguettes and a slice of brown bread. How difficult is it to offer freshly baked baguettes or bread rolls I asked myself. The main courses where overcooked and the cosistancy was mushy soft with a flavourless sauce and accompanied by overcooked tasteless beans who turned brown instead of crispy green. The potato gratin was ok. The ratatouille with the sole muniere was far removed from any taste , looking at the desserts offered we declined, absolute no imagination here either. Vanilla ice cream with hot cherries ? What century are you living in ?The whole experience was boring, uninspiring and disappointing. Since it was meant to be a treat from my 80 year old mother for Boxing Day I refraint from sending all the food back, not to upset the old lady. Your lucky day I guess."
