very nice, good food, good service, I always come back. 3 times in the year I travel to hamburg, the last time on the 15th of December I had lunch and 2 dinners with various friends, and it all liked.

we made a beautiful walk through the ovelgönne to watch the harbour scene. soon it became colder and we had the feeling we needed a hot chocolate. after that I tried the labskaus and my friend ate "scholle finkenwerder art". both was very delicious. we will be coming back

we met with friends in ovelgönne and selected this restaurant among the many along this way. we were not disappointed. Despite the great tourist attraction of this opposite, the service had a personal note (good relation to the service staff!). that was in order. the location is perfect. we would recommend this restaurant because of our only meal there.

beautiful sunny day and we got a great table on the terrace. we were well served, supported by one of our guests who was a local German, but then it went downhill. the drinks came, but the milk coffee was given to the person who ordered cappuccino (which began to drink it as he had foam and looked like a cappuccino), and there was no cappuccino. then the ordered desserts arrived, although the first dessert was finished before all the others had been delivered! when the rest came, one was missing and another was wrong. when we complained, the staff was rude and pretended to be our fault! I would never come back.

the position of the fish restaurant hoppe is with the elbpanorama and the coming and go big ships that drive past them, hardly to overbid while they enjoy fresh fish for lunch on a sunny spring day. the menu was small, but extensive, the longest were excellent, as well as the beer and the waiters were friendly and that food came fast, especially with three hungry little children after their long walk along the elbe. at our frequent visit in hamburg we always enjoy lunch or coffee and cake in the river restaurants in ovelgonne, and the fish restaurant hoppe offers the river terrace as well as a higher terrace and of course the main restaurant.

we made a walk through ovelgonne with friends and chose hoppe’s for our dinner. it was a beautiful sunny evening and we had a table with beautiful view of the old ships in the small harbour and the elbe. the service was good, but the restaurant was quiet, as the g20 caused many to leave hamburg at this weekend. our food was delivered quite fast and it was very good. g had the chill with butter, our ladies shared the dish with grilled fish and garnel the house and I had the matjes. as dessert we chose the earthbeereien with a whipped cream (lecker) and the red grutze with a whipped cream that was just like my oma was used to make. great dinner at a fair price of just over 100 euro for us 4.
