The apples were nestled perfectly in pastry with a heavenly syrup, all baked en croute. The dish sizzled on the table, surrounded by swirling steam like a dream. Polly then served it with a flawless side of ice cream. We devoured the tart eagerly, causing my partner to burn her lips on its delectable syrup. We washed it down with fizzy Vouvray, discussing fine art as we savored every bite. We bid farewell to Dave's Tart Tatin, longing for more, before heading home together. This dessert was truly a work of art, even at a young age."

Lunch with friends today and fantastic food. We will return!! Very good value for the lunchtime menu and everything fresh as can be. Delicious locally sourced from experienced kitchen and excellent service.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and had the most delicious meal I've had since arriving in Folkestone. The bread and butter were fantastic, and the shoe with mussels was superb. The prices were very reasonable and the music selection (Julie London, Nat King Cole on vinyl) was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place.

All hail the new marmalade king, by Dave, the brilliant chef-owner of the Folkestone Wine Company, whose small batch marmalade puts the Sun King in the shade!
