"I made a reservation for a birthday dinner at this restaurant through the app. I received a confirmation email that the reservation had been made. However, when my party of ten arrived at the restaurant, which was only half full, we were told that there was no table available for us because their booking system had not been updated. The staff refused to accommodate us. This was a terrible customer experience and I will not be returning to this restaurant."

The food was good for the price, but the atmosphere was disappointing. Despite the bar/restaurant not being very busy, they had run out of wine glasses and experienced issues with the wine on tap.

I made a reservation for a birthday dinner at this restaurant through the app. I received a confirmation email that the reservation had been made. "This restaurant is a hidden gem, and somewhat tardis-like (you’ll see what I mean when you go there). Ate there twice within a week; once for a planned birthday celebration, the other an impromptu exam-success celebration. Staff are always so attentive, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere pleasant (it’s always nice to be able to hear what the people on your own table are saying, rather than competing with the cacophony of noise from surrounding tables). Yes, it’s a smidge more expensive than the restaurant chain around the corner (we’re talking less than a couple of pounds per dish more), but, for us, the additional cost is more than justified by the overall experience and quality of the food. Absolutely no problem with tailoring the dishes to deal with allergies (in my case, a dairy allergy). Vegan and GF options available too."

"Two friends and I were planning to visit the nearby Fleet Air Arm Museum but wanted to have breakfast first. One of my friends discovered the Cafe on Google, so we decided to meet there at 9am. We arrived just as they were opening and were greeted warmly. Our orders were promptly taken and our hot teas arrived soon after. All three of us ordered the breakfast which included fried bread and extra toast. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back again the next time we are in Yeovil."

"On Monday evening, we had a reservation for four at 6 PM and the restaurant wasn't busy. The service was excellent. We ordered the gourmet selection for two, which included miso soup and two rice dishes. The gourmet sushi was plentiful and perfect for sharing among four people; it offered a delicious variety. The main course was also beautifully presented and served on a shared platter. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely eat there again."

"I've visited the carvery on multiple Sundays and can confidently say that the experience is unforgettable. The staff is friendly, polite, and incredibly helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone; it’s a fantastic place to dine and catch up with friends and family. I suggest calling ahead to reserve a table to avoid disappointment. We plan to return this Sunday for another lovely experience. As a gesture of courtesy, please consider leaving a decent tip for the staff after savoring your meal, as a way to show your appreciation. And just a reminder, do not attempt to leave without following the standard procedures—it's important!"

"Very disappointed overall. As some of the family had previously visited several months before and had a nice meal. Hence the return. Our starters arrived all rather mediocre and waitress tipped one of the starters over sauce went everywhere accidents happen no big deal got...some paper off waitress and I cleared up told her there was lots of sauce on the floor. She just said ill clear it even uour gone. The mains came mine wax a steak which was as thick as a slice of bacon . Another person had a burger it was over cooked bun was black. Two people had BBQ ribs and asked for the BBQ sauce as none on them. The same waitress told them there was a bottle of hienz sauce they could use on the table!! To sides of prawns were ordered but we only got one lot when asked for the other portion the waitress said abruptly they were on the same plate!! Another group member had beef fajitas that were so tough he couldn't chew the meat. Another waitress asked how meal was I told her she said she would speak to Chef and then returned and said he was to busy at the moment. We got bill they did refund for the fajitas but the waitress who served us before came to collect money and was quite rude . I won't return there's so many nice places I can go in town. This would be my last choice"
