"Zum Turm is an excellent pub restaurant. We had one of the nicest meals during our two week holiday in Germany here. It is a real hidden gem; there's no way we would have known about this restaurant if it wasn't for TripAdvisor. It is small but cosy inside. It is decorated inside in an old-fashioned style which gives it a great atmosphere. There were three tables by the window where you could see outside. I believe that there were also more tables down the back. The owner is a very nice man and is very helpful.I had the pork knuckle which was huge and very tasty! The potatoes served with it were very nice. The Flammkuchen and salads were also great."

"Since many of the reviews of Schatull are favorable, I hesitate to submit a negative report as our experience was perhaps an anomaly. However, I think it is important to share our observations. We arrived at Schatull and were seated within minutes. The waiter...took our drink order and meal order at the same time. I pointed on the menu to the meals we wanted and established that the meals did not contain mushrooms my wife is allergic. My wife's place setting consisted of a dirty knife and no fork when the waiter promptly brought our drinks, he provided clean place settings for both of us so far so good. Meanwhile several guests arrived shortly after we did there were approximately occupied tables that we could see from our vantage point. Fast forward one hour we did not see the waiter again I would have at least liked to order a second beer while we waited. We were running low on time due to a previous commitment so we flagged down the waiter and asked for an update on our meals he said ‘they were coming’. The manager stopped by and asked if we had ordered food apparently our order was never turned into the kitchen. Since we were out of time, my wife told them to forget about the meals; then the waiter said we had never ordered meals. We paid for the drinks and left would have been nice if they did not charge us for those considering we wasted an hour of our time. By the way during that one hour period, the only food that was delivered to any of the other tables was a salad, so it seems clear there was some sort of problem in the kitchen compounded by the incompetent service"

"Fantastic Italian cuisine and a very wide selection of vegetarian dishes. You can also choose from classic dough, dark dough or gluten-free dough when pizzing. For me an absolute lucky handle, as I currently feed on vegan and gluten-free for health reasons. I therefore ordered the pizza veria, without mozzarella and with gluten-free dough. Has absolutely tasted fantastic and the espresso after it was also a pleasure. Very friendly and accommodating staff, we are happy to return Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten-free"

"Wir wollten am 22.07.2024 gegen Mittag über die HomePage dieses Lokals (winzerstueble.de) online eine Tisch für Abends, 2 Personen, draußen im Garten reservieren. Da die Online-Reservierung darauf hinwies (fett unterstrichen), dass Tische im Garten nicht reserviert werden, sonder nur Tische drinnen im Lokal, haben wir die Online-Reservierung abgebrochen, da wir ja im Garten essen wollten. Als wir dann am Abend (18 Uhr) am Lokal eintrafen, sahen wir, dass einige Tische im Garten reserviert waren. Auf Nachfrage war man ganz erstaunt und überrascht und zweifelte den Online-Reservierungsvorfall sogar an. Wir bekamen dann noch einen letzten Tisch an der verkehrsträchtigen Strassenseite. Als zweiten Vorfall, mussten wir dann nich feststellen, dass der Wein in Gläsern ohne Eichstrich eingefüllt wird, sodass man die bestellte Menge nicht überprüfen kann. Für den Anspruch eines solchen Lokals, sind die Vorfälle inakzeptabel und höchst kritikabel."

"Wir waren am 2. Juli 2023 zum 1. Mal hier und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. An diesem Wochenende war Allstadtfest und es war viel los. Wir hatten eine kleine Wartezeit da im Außenbereich, der übrigens wunderschön ist, alles besetzt war. Am Tisch wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient, die Getränke waren zügig da und es war sehr angenehm dort zu sitzen. Aufgrund der vollen Terrasse ist eine kleine Wartezeit entstanden, die wir im Gegensatz zu unserem Nachbartisch, als nicht schlimm empfunden haben. Wir haben uns sehr gut unterhalten und hatten Spaß. Unser Essen war hervorragend, alles war wie bestellt und der Koch sowie das gesamte Personal hat wirklich ein großes Lob verdient. Wir waren inzwischen zum 2. Mal mit unserem Besuch da und waren wieder mit allem sehr zufrieden. Der Außenbereich war wieder bis auf den letzten Platz belegt und nichts desto trotz, kamen unsere Bestellungen nach kurzer Wartezeit bei uns an. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Personal sehr freundlich, Chefin super nett, Essen hervorragend und der Außenbereich ist einfach nur toll und man möchte eigentlich nicht mehr gehen... Wir können den Mercyscher Hof nur empfehlen."
