"The initial welcome here was excellent, and the food (when it came) was fine, but the evening was completely spoilt because they clearly forgot about our order, and then attempted to lie their way out of it. The two meals would not have taken long to prepare (and they were clearly prepared very rapidly after we complained). After 45 minutes of waiting for a schnitzel and chips and a Labskaus (a kind of corned-beef hash) I asked if their was a problem, and the waiter - who up to this point had been only too keen to speak English - became quite unfriendly and suddenly spoke only rapidly in German. His colleague then came over to say that all meals had to be freshly prepared, and that the wait was not undue. This was clearly not the case. I wouldn't have minded if they had apologised about forgetting the order - and perhaps taken the drinks off the bill - but the fact that they just went in to a highly defensive and unapologetic mode was unprofessional and pathetic. Their doors and windows are covered in restaurant awards from years gone by - God knows how they achieved them on the basis of this evening."

Amazing food and atmosphere. Very service friendly staff. They also provide english menus. The entire street provide a great atmosphere.

Had lunch for two before going back to Sweden. Large portions. Excellent cooking. Seafood. I recommend the deep fried. Good wine. Nice pricing. Visit when in Rugen!

Fish was very fresh, however the meals are cooked with lots of butter. The waitress was not very friendly, but the great promenade location makes up for the short comings.

Every meal |i had, I enjoyed. The food was well-prepared and the portions large. I particularly enjoyed the cod and the pork schnitzel.There's a cozy little bar where the barmaid was very nice (and funny).I met the owner, Tomas, and his son, Paul. Both are very lovely, kind, helpful people.

We had a kraving for seafood. We were in Sassnitz during the weekday and went out at about 21.30. Unfortunately most resturants close at about that time so we went down to the dock to try our luck. We saw this restaurant and went in. The food was really good and in large portions. The fish platter was huge and my son enjoyed it LOTs.

The restaurant is located on Sassnitz's beach promenade and has a nice outside terrace overlooking the sea. I had one of their specialty dishes, deep-fried sprats served with fried potatoes and mustard sauce. The fish was super fresh and well-prepared, portions are huge and the price is very resonable at 12,90 Euro.Will definitely return if I happen to be back in Sassnitz!

We visited this restaurant six years ago and enjoyed it so much that we decided to visit again to mark a special occasion. To our delight the meal that we had enjoyed last time, the fish sharing platter for two, was still on the menu and just as good if not better than before. Enormous portions, beautifully cooked and presented. Thank you for making our special evening even ore special.

First evening in Sassnitz and the recommended fish restaurant.Helpfully advised by the waiter that the fish special for two would be more than sufficient so no starter would be needed.A large plate of fried fish was delivered along with a plate of chips with potato rissoles on top, a plate of fried sliced potatoes with bacon and a third plate of broccoli in cheese sauce and mushrooms in white sauce.The crayfish was okay, the flounder, halibut and pike perch were good. The. Fried salmon did not taste good to either of us.Large quantities of mixed quality was okay overall and provided a substantial meal.
