"Really enjoyed food at the crispy cod today, it was just what we needed. My mum been off her food a little and this definitely helped her appetite, we all had the Hake and it was beautiful. We will be back. If I could give any constructive comments it would just be it was a little bit cold in the restaurant. Note to owner I really think something could be done on your website to promote the DINE IN as it is not that obvious unless you already knew like we did. I can't understand how with such beautiful food being served and we were the only people sitting in, people are missing out. Probably the only other small negative thing would be we couldn't have a hot drink as the drinks machine was broken and they don't own a kettle, I did find that strange, sorry. Will definitely be back though, we wouldn't let that stop us."

"I love this place. They have doorstep bread perfect with their delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts, with something for everyone. I have the slimmers breakfast which is sun free, on slimming world! Result! Their freshly made cakes are unreal, with lemon drizzle, carrot cake and chocolate fudge cake, to name but a few. You can pre book afternoon tea, here (there is seating upstairs, if they’re full downstairs they’re popular and people come from miles around for the friendly greetings and delicious food . They’re making cheesecake filled Easter eggs at the moment and the only disappointment is they aren’t syn free, too! A great range of coffees and milkshakes. My personal (non dieting! favourite is chips with their huuuge slices of bread. My mouth is watering, at the thought! If your calorie intake doesn’t quite stretch to chips, try their jacket potatoes, served with salad they’ll keep you full for a week! (Ok so that’s an exaggeration but they are huge and honestly amazing!"

"We have had Sunday lunch hear previously and a bar meal last weekend. On both occasions we enjoyed the food and service. Therefore we decided to book Sunday lunch and invited my Dad. On arrival we were surprised that it was not to busy and there were plenty of free tables. Our drinks order was taken and then our food. Not too complicated; two lamb and one Beef. One of the drinks orders arrived incomplete, but was corrected quickly (we should have sensed the what was to come). Food soon arrived and plates containing meat/roast potatoes/Yorkshire pudding were placed in front of us. We filled our plates with the shared veg and gravy. We then noticed that I did not have a stuffing ball and the others no Yorkshire Pudding! We complained and these items arrived soon after. I was only then that I tried the lamb, only to find it was beef! My Dad then said his beef tasted odd, yes it was lamb! We were offered a new meal each, but to be honest this would have left us eating at different times. My Dad was given a microwaved piece of beef. He could not chew this as it was dry and tough. Throughout the whole time we were left feeling like they did not really care. We were then presented with a bill for two lamb and one beef! Again this seemed to pass them by. Overall really disappointing considering good previous visits. Also no track and trace information was taken."

"can not be too much praise on the staff of the pub for the host of a big party for my granddaughter. we were a group of had the main restaurant room for us. the personal set the room according to the wish of my demanding daughter. in consideration of the pay bar service was promptly polite. we all chose from the main menu quite everything was available with veryreasonable prices. the meals were delivered immediately by a generous size. I have not heard any complaint about the great quality. no one had to sit at night when we settled down for an evening of live music from a big but loud, female singer. many thanks to all employees for an unforgettable evening! (we will return)"
