Had such a lovely meal here yesterday. Beautiful place, calming atmosphere, the food was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection. 2 roast beef and a tornado Rossini

Visited today with 6 friends for lunch. Great ambiance and lovely service despite them being busy with what looked like a conference. Every person enjoyed their meal and the staff were lovely . Thank you.

I came here for a meeting and decided to have lunch. The menu had a great selection, and I chose the club sandwich with chips. The meal was very filling with high-quality ingredients like thick-cut bacon and fresh salads in a generous portion. This restaurant is a great choice for lunch.

Had a funeral tea at Greenhill today and it was superb. There was an excellent selection of sandwiches, savories, cakes and scones all beautifully presented. The staff were very helpful and supplied a continuous top up of teas and coffees. The conservatory was a nice size for our party of 20 and was stylishly decorated. Could not fault it at all. Thank you all so much for making an upsetting day so much better

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We made a reservation for afternoon tea to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday with 6 adults and 2 children. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The venue and surrounding grounds were beautiful, although the cows seemed to be avoiding us. This was hands down the best afternoon tea experience I've ever had. Thank you so much.

There are very few places to eat in the area especially Monday Thursday so when a lady at our accommodation suggested the hotel we booked ourselves in. Its best to make a reservation before you go as on one night they has no tables free. The staff were very good and the food was just as good. The portion sizes are large. I ordered the steak and ale pie with chips and vegetables as peer the menu. I could have had either one or the other and struggled to eat the entire food. Also great value for money and would recommend this venue to anyone in the area.

My wife and I joined members of our local gardening society for a Christmas meal. The menu had an excellent variety which made reaching a choice quite difficult. All the main courses came with brussel sprouts, carrots, roasted parsips, roast and mashed potatoes. We both had hot smoked salmon, turkey and black cherry roulade. The meal finished with mince pie and coffee. The food was all cooked to a very high standard, in fact it was the best Christmas meal that I have had outside of a family setting. We are really looking forward to our next visit to Greenhill.

For dinner, we dined in the lounge and were blown away by the fillet steak and roast duck. The duck had a perfectly crispy skin and was incredibly succulent, with a delicious sauce that made it the best duck we had eaten in years. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The French Malbec we chose was exceptional and well-priced - we even ordered a second bottle! The desserts were also mouthwatering. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a lovely and relaxing evening. We couldn't fault a thing. Visited the Greenhill for News Year Day lunch. Special menu for New Years Day with some bold and exciting choices. The hotel is lovely, in a wonderful setting and is very welcoming from the off. On arrival, ample parking, we were shown to our table and offered drinks from an extensive range. The hotel was tastefully decorated for the festive period and is very welcoming. All of the staff are very professional and additionally very attentive and really lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Our starters arrived promptly and all of our group of 6 thoroughly enjoy the starters. Mains came after a break which was just the right length.
