"have visited them twice, once for a Sunday dinner and once on Saturday for lunch with their main menu, both paintings as couple. eating is very honest, this place is an absolute gem. do not expect from a chic or modern decor, which is a typical local pub, but it is clean and the personal is so friendly and helpful. Sunday was a nicer atmosphere, families and older couples, while the Saturday was less welcoming in the bar with football fans (and the speeches that go with it! if I had been with my children I would have been really disappointed and uncomfortable, but since it was only adult I did not thank me so much and could mostly ignore it. and eating it makes it worth while! a steak, boiled to perfection, all sides pierced hot and fresh and the presentation of the appetizers is nice. the sunday roast was great, with the best telton and broccoli soup I've ever had! the puddings are equally impressive. if they really want to eat really well cooked home and they are with their other half or friends, don't hesitate to come here. but if they are with children, they stay on a Sunday. we will be 100% back."

"If you want something a little different this is worth a visit. There is an outdoor terrace if the weather allows or an interior that is a bit somber for a lunchtime. The menu is quite innovative with a range of sizes from small plates to larger portions. and prices are competitive. Order at the bar quoting your table number and the food will be brought promptly. There’s a container of chilled water on the bar for self service and on the day of our visit the staff were donating their tips and selling cakes in support of the Macmillan big coffee morning."

"Visited on the off chance of a table 20/06/22, and were lucky. The restaurant was quite quiet at 18.00 but by the time we left at 20.00 it was busy buzzing. We had starters of x2 Bruchetta one Chipotle Chicken. Mains was the Buttermilk Chicken and x2 of the Roasted Shallot Tarte Tatin all of which was amazingly tasty. The roasted shallots pastry was crispy crumbly the tenderstem broccoli cooked with a little bite (perfect) My friends had the Caramel Biscuit Torte with strawberries which apparently was lovely. Service was good, the waiter was polite checked in just about the right amount without being intrusive/annoying. And, the large soda limes were large and made just right oh and mixed so the lime wasn't all at the bottom.... Would recommend but maybe book in advance as even in a Monday the seams were bursting (No, not my jeans)"

"Ordered the Lyfbox, lyf fries and a lyf burger. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection, very crisp, no sogginess and seasoned wonderfully to give it a savoury taste. The lyf box was made from simple ingredients of boiled riced, chopped vegetables and minced, ground beef but again combined nicely to give a heart warming and healthy experience. The burger patties were perfect, no oily residue and plenty of high quality meat content with just the right amount of pickle and garnishing in a healthy whole meal bun. Everything was neatly packaged into a doggie bag, and presented pristinely when opened up. I 'm so impressed by the quality of the food that it would be an insult to put in the same category as most fast food takeaway. It 's clear that a lot of thought and love was put into not just the food itself, but everything else with regards to the business. I 'm certainly voting it for Uber eats restaurant of the year. My only criticism? I wished I had more! I will for sure be trying out the burritos next time. Great job Alex and Beth!"

"We were here for a farewell dinner, with foreign family visitors, and were somewhat disappointed. The service was warm and friendly, but some of the meals were below par and quite frankly, I have had better Supermarket Indian ready meals, cooked in a microwave. The menu was very extensive, but I wonder how they can prepare all of them in the time taken to deliver our meals. I suspect a vat of standard sauce with various additions to suit each description. I had the Vegetable Balti Pathia, which was basically mush , with a few chunks of potato in it as the only identifiable vegetable. My son had the Tandoori Platter and had to ask for a hotter sauce, as it appeared to be a fairly basic, bland, plate of grilled meat (only chicken and lamb). However, my husband 's King Prawn was good and the Peshwari Naans were excellent. This was a generic Indian Restaurant catering for locals; next time, we will return to the Dudley Road in Wolverhampton, for a more authentic experience."
