The order came out at different times and one not at all . Staff were swearing to each other in front of two young children that were on the table. Cold food. Wont come again.

This restaurant is unclean, with wooden forks and napkins scattered all over the floor and no one bothering to clean them up. A charge of 60 pence is added for mayonnaise or ketchup on the kids' menu, which is disappointing. The staff is not very friendly, and I will not be returning.

Not a great experience, the staff had no record of our booking they found us a table at the back of the restaurant. The staff were clearly over worked, they got our order WRONG. The worst fish and chips I have ever eaten, the worst service too. Miserable, unfriendly staff and disgusting food, even the mushy peas were awful and 60p for a sachet of sauce !!!! Odd place planned to visit on a Tuesday for lunch and was waiting outside at 11:55 for a midday opening. Once 12 hit, the doors remained closed with no lights on. Opened the door to check and asked if it was open, woman behind the counter looked as if I'd just crashed landed through the window for asking, despite it looking still closed. However, though better of it as floor and tables looked filthy.....and didn't fancy eating in a dark restaurant. Nip down to the Ship Inn for some great food instead.

I was excited for a pleasant lunch during a day trip to Swanage. Unfortunately, the table was sticky and not cleaned. The food was well-cooked and made to order, but it was served with flimsy wooden cutlery that caused part of the meal to end up on the floor. While the concept of using wooden disposables is good, better quality is needed as they were not sturdy enough. Also, serving them in a plastic dish was not ideal. They do not accept cash and it seems like the restaurant is more focused on reducing work effort rather than protecting the environment. I would not dine here again.
