Fantastic authentic Japanese restaurant! It is not a top notch restaurant, but man, it is good. Almost better than a local one in Japan. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and food. Do not miss this gem, if you like Japanese food

We ordered a sushi set for lunch. The portion of sushi was quite small. Along with Sushi, they included a small bowl of rice with handful of Surimi, vegetable and some sauce, which made us full but this is not something I would normally expect...in a sushi set. If you want a nice lunch meal in a tucked away corner of the big city, this is it. But make reservations or you will be disappointed. They know how to cook. The service is straight. No chit chat. They have lots of choices of all regular different dishes and some are served only seasonally as they should. I took seafood donburi with miso soup and fried takoyaki. The food quality was good. Drinks are I felt a little expensive. The place made me...feel like being in Japan friendly polite service and averagely good food and no failure. I will definitely go back

This is the Most unhappy, unfriendly Japanese Restaurant, i ever went to from Los Angeles to London, from Tel Aviv to Brussels, from Stockholm to Lisbon. The waiters are not here to please you, they are here to carry food quality is acceptable or...good, portions ridiculously small . They are so nervous and the screaming out of the kitchen is the worst ever background noise you can have . Ask for the back room, in the front you are middle in the draft, you catch a cold ! The hygiene seems the least of their worries, do not use the cold towel , it stinks. And if you are in a group, mention before you order that you want it on separate bills, otherwise... Came for dinner with family. Tried a whole bunch of assorted dishes and they all tasted reasonably good but not to the standard that you would find in Japan and other parts of Asia despite the restaurant run wholly by Japanese staff. We did not...have a booking and as it was a Friday night we were told that it was virtually impossible to get a seat but if we were prepared to wait someone might finish early. Atmosphere and location is perfect. Running by Japanese and also the staff. But very surprised with the food quality. First they served Miso soup with drinks.??? I was like what? Which restaurant in Japan do this? Then have ordered sushi and some yakitori. Another surprise...with buta bars pork belly with cut onion smells bad and taste like a freezer food. This is a small restaurant just off the centre of town which was recommended to us by some friends. We arrived a bit later for dinner and decided to have a light meal at the bar. There were several Japanese businessmen at a table close...by and another Japanese couple at the end of the bar – always a promising sign. The sushi bar manager and waiters were very friendly and quickly took our order. We had some tofu agedashi as well as a sashimi omakase and a few other titbits.
