Beautiful ambience, classic rustic. The food from me personally was very delicious (Filet Mignon), the steak of my accompaniment was unfortunately almost unusable. However, it is extremely dark in the restaurant, no idea why this is kept.

Dropped in as the place we had planned to go was closed. What good luck for us! Service quick, linen table clothes, nice salad bar (German style) and a menu with over dishes. And the one native German in our group swears best snitzle...he's had in years!

Hilbecker Hof is on the Bundesstrasse a bypass for those who want to avoid the frequent jams between Kreuz Werl and Kreuz Dortmund/Unna. The menu offers a mix of traditional German food and Balkan style. It is a big restaurant. A bit sterile,...increased by the attitude of the staff: friendly but not very personal. Typical a main route restaurant with many only once' visitors. The food is served fast and of good quality. The portions are large. The salad you can take yourself from a bar but the choice is very basic. The temperature of my alcohol free Weizenbeer was too high. It is quite expensive but not extreme for a main road restaurant.
