Just been in and Bought a Fish Supper and Single Fish number 56 i could taste the Freshness from both the Fish and Chips and friendly Staff Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Aweful food, rip off prices and poor customer service. The worst chippy I've ever visited in a long time which is a shame seen as it's the only one available in Arran. Cost me £17 for 1 battered sausage, 2 portions of chips and 1 gravy. Ordered large portions of chips which came in tiny trays and equally small portions, the gravy was extremely runny and the battered sausage was pretty grim. Wouldn't recommend. I noticed the varied menu clearly displayed on banners on the wall, which was a huge plus—no squinting at a board! They offer all the classic chip shop options, along with burgers, mozzarella sticks, and other tasty items. The service also deserves 5 stars. The gentleman who served us—possibly the owner—was wonderful: friendly, professional, and very patient as we picked out our dips! They charge 50p per tub for a choice of mayo, tartar sauce, ketchup, or BBQ sauce. I’m giving 5 stars for the atmosphere too, even if it’s just your typical chip shop vibe. I don’t think the lack of ambient charm reflects poorly on the business at all. Thank you, Hooked and Cooked! We’ll definitely be back....
