Beautiful home cooked food, visited numerous times and it never disappoints. Large selection of cakes. Friendly and attentive service every time. Would highly recommend.

Arrived at 1.30pm for lunch with six other family members. Greeted with a friendly and warm welcome. Drinks and lunch were served promptly. Food was delicious! We weren’t rushed at all. Would definitely recommend

A rare visit to Holt after 3pm needing a very late lunch. The breakfast menu vegetarian choice was ideal for my wife but had finished at this time of day, but to our delight a friendly waitress accomodated our needs, and it was delicious. Thank you for such service and gorgeous food It made my birthday. We'll be back!

New owners, not the same. Was full, ok that 's fine. Greeted with we 've no room for you go for a wander face like a slapped A. Lady in question went for a fag out side door continued to give dirty looks as we went past. Posted cctv images of us on social media after my complaint to prove they weren 't rude, condescending apology that invalidated my complaint. Genuinely a grown child running a mediocre cafe.

We came in for a ham salad and a ploughman's, it was the best food I've eaten this week. The salad was very generous, with fresh salad ingredients including extras such as grated carrot, beetroot, cress and pickled onions, and a very generous, thick sliced amount of ham. Absolutely delicious. Wish there were more venues that offered healthy alternatives that still manage to fill you up. Also, friendly service with a smile.

If you can't find something delicious in this cafe then there's no pleasing you. A huge menu, big portions, all freshly made and the staff do all they can to move people in and out quickly and professionally. Full of locals which is a good sign. The afternoon high tea is enormous and the jacket potatoes and bacon baguettes are my favourite. They even have whippy ice cream as we discovered on our last visit. Well done to the whole team.

Went for lunch with family. Waitress said she would be straight over to take order but went to every other table first that had walked in well behind us. Asked again to take order. Never came. When we got up to leave she said ill be straight there. What appalling service and very frustrating to be one of first to sit down and never get order taken went elsewhere in holt. Fantastic food and service so would not recommend horatios if you don’t want to be first to sit down and last to be served

We arrived lunchtime so expected it to be busy. But it would have been nice if they could have told us there would be a half hour wait for food, especially as we were in a car park with only 2 hours on the ticket, which we thought would be adequate for a spot of lunch and a mooch round the shops. The food was not great, overcooked fried egg, bullet peas, undercooked chips, and ham that had a most unusual flavour. And the tomato looked like it had had a fight with a flame thrower and lost. It was our first visit to Holt and this experience rather spoilt it for us. Won’t be going back. On the positive side my wife thought her omelette was delicious.

Called in for a drink and a sandwich. We didn’t see the sign which says wait to be seated so our error, however, a member of staff saw we had seated ourselves and didn’t point out we should wait, so we didn’t know we had done anything wrong. There were plenty of tables so we didn’t jump a queue. We sat and sat, eye contact was made but we were ignored. The table had salt spilt over it which wasn’t a problem as we knew they would wipe it when they eventually got to us. After a little while a member of staff who knew perfectly well we hadn’t waited to be seated, said “oh did you wait to be seated, if not , that may be why we missed you”.
