The view is splendid. And the wine list is ok. But in most restaurants in Sicily you will eat better. After one week on the island it was the first real disappointment.

we have gone august. it was undoubtedly the best restaurant we had in Sicily. the food was absolutely delicious and refined. the presentation was breathtaking. special mention of the chocolate globe desserts. and above all the service was absolutely perfect. we were...with very good advice and all went very smoothly. thank you! unnecessary to say that we did not understand the bad review on this website. we definitely recommend it!

La posizione e l'edificio/arredamento del ristorante erano eccellenti. La vista sulle rovine del tempio illuminate era spettacolare, specialmente attraverso il binocolo! Gli antipasti, inclusa la Camponata, erano eccellenti. Il vino consigliato era corretto e il servizio era buono e cordiale. Meno: Il pesce misto alla griglia era inaspettato e non buono. Questo consisteva in sezioni molto grandi (tentacoli) di polpo insipido e un piccolo pesce piatto che era molto troppo cotto. Quindi non una buona scelta!

Tre settimane in Sicilia e tutto è stato ben oltre le aspettative. Ma... questo ristorante e' stata la nostra unica pessima esperienza. L'ambiente potrebbe essere grande, ma l'intensa illuminazione interna offuscato la vista della valle del tempio. Il cibo era peggio della mancanza. Il maitre... era scortese. E ha detto che il vino che abbiamo ordinato non era disponibile e ha prodotto un vino inferiore, nessuno locale e alla fine carica. Non siamo rimasti per dessert. A quanto pare questo posto ha perso il suo chef. Esperienza peggiore in Sicilia.

we had dinner there as we were in the hotel (baglio della luna) and only after that we looked at the other reviews. I have to say I really can't understand the bad reviews. the personal was really helpful, it might have helped us... speak Italian, but I wouldn't think that. if they know something about Sicilian food, they will quickly find that this is high quality. all ingredients were fresh, caponata, fave, cicoria, octopus and squid were all delicious. dessert (gelato torta lemon cake and cannoli) were incredible. all with the beautiful view over the garden of the hotel and the valley of the tempel, which is magical in the evening.

I can't understand how this restaurant rates below McDonald's on Tripadvisor. Yes, there are some flaws, but for the most part we had two excellent meals there. The most successful dishes included ravioli stuffed with swordfish, fettuccine with fresh cherry tomatoesw and bottarga, a marinated...seafood antipasto, and lamb chops prepared just the way my Sicilian grandmother did with lemon and olive oil according to my wife. Side dishes such as caponata and fava beans with chicory were also excellent. Less successful were a seafood frito misto, which was good except for the calamari, which was seriously overcooked and therefore rubbery and which had lost most of its crispy coating, and also a...

abbiamo mangiato qui il Lunedi di Pasqua insieme con una sala da pranzo completa (stiamo in hotel ed è stato anche pieno stasera, Martedì, anche se mangiamo altrove stasera per il cambiamento.) tutti e sei della mia festa (compresi due bambini) goduto il loro pasto qui ieri sera. bambini condiviso spargel risotto e la specialità di pesce ho provato entrambi i piatti e erano deliziosi. Abbiamo mangiato qui il Lunedì di Pasqua insieme a una sala da pranzo piena (siamo rimasti nell'hotel ed era anche pieno stasera, martedì, anche se abbiamo mangiato da qualche altra parte stasera per cambiare). tutti e sei del mio gruppo (compresi due bambini) hanno apprezzato la loro cena qui ieri sera. i bambini hanno condiviso il risotto agli asparagi e la specialità di pesce, che ho provato entrambi i piatti e erano deliziosi. ho preso il cortice con patate e era anche eccellente. mio marito e mio suocero hanno preso anche il pesce speciale e mia suocera ha preso una pasta con broccoli che ho adorato. abbiamo visto tutti gli altri piatti sul menu che volevamo provare a mangiare domani. i...

This was not only the single worst meal I've ever had in Italy (in or so trips), but might be the single worst meal my wife and I have had ANYWHERE. We are not their enemies, just shocked travelers. We went because three guidebooks,...all supposedly independent, raved about this place. The room is beautiful, and the hotel stunning. A good start.
