"I regularly meet friends for coffee at Flavours but twice recently I’ve had breakfast there. I can only say Flavours is a superb little cafe, run by husband and wife team Sandra and Michael. Don’t expect anything deep fried because Sandra cooks everything on the griddle and she does this to perfection. The portions are generous, the prices are so reasonable, the food is so tasty and of such good quality that I have nothing but praise for this wonderful venue as for value, I believe it is unbeatable. Become a regular and you become cherished and valued with a fair amount of good natured teasing from Michael thrown in for good measure. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly that you find the customers all talking to each other as well. An absolute gem of a place and I’m so glad that I live nearby."

"I tried to order some food over the phone on 3/10/23 at approximately 12.20 am for lunch. Unfortunately the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude to me when I asked some questions about their menu as I am looking for some typically Keralite food and not just dishes from a bog standard Indian takeway. She told me she had no knowledge of Keralite food and stated I do not need to know about Keralite food as it is written in the menu and we are in England anyway . If you insist on employing staff who have no knowledge of your cuisine being served, at least teach them to be polite and not racist when informing customers of their lack of knowledge. I suggest you sack this staff member."

"I've recently moved into Caterham I've been somewhat disappointed in the restaurants around here, so I didn't have the highest expectations going here as I randomly stumbled upon it. For some reason the restaurant isn't listed on any of the takeaway applications despite offering takeout, which is a bit odd hopefully amended in the future. I expected bland British/Chinese food as is customary around here, but oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. The Lemon chicken was amazing, with the perfect balance of sour sweet giving a refreshing taste. Never had it as good before, which gives me great hope for the rest of their menu. The staff we're kind I can't wait to go back!"

"Me and my boyfriend visited la fiaba on a Friday night. The server we had was absolutely lovely and I believe her name was Chelsea. She was so lovely and made this experience wonderful. The food was nice but not amazing especially for the price. When I asked Chelsea if the tip would be going straight to her, she said yes. Which is what we wanted as her service was impeccable. Later on our server changed to a blonde man who I believe was the manager and I assume Chelsea had finished her shift. When the time came to pay the bill, we asked if the tip could be given to Chelsea as we were beyond impressed with her. He then replied saying that the tip would be shared out with the rest of the staff. Which is not what we wanted but we carried on. The rest of the staff which were sitting around the bar just chatting away. This is not what we expect to see. I understand that you might not be busy at all times but they were just sitting and chatting away throughout the evening. The blonde man (who I will refer to as the manager) was also part of this group and only moved when he became our server. Forgive me if I do not want my tip to be received by a bunch of lazy men."

"3/10 Not the restaurant it once was I only just discovered the restaurant has changed hands and they clearly haven’t been able to keep the same standard that the place had before. the owner wouldn’t allow the waitresses to take food orders, we had to wait for him. As a result we waited 30minutes for our order to be taken. He needs to give his staff some more responsibility as two of the ladies would be more than capable of taking orders from customers. the prawn starter was bland and over the top, the garnishes added no flavour French onion soup was like a chutney and barely has any cheese on top. the steak was asked to be cooked medium and it came out rare, no steak knife was provided. the calves liver was okay, nothing special the 2 waitresses in black were hard to understand and it was as though they didn't understand what we were asking , however the two waitresses in white were amazing and had a lovely way about them. My point is, this isn’t worth the £50 a head it costs for 3 courses, so much so, we left without dessert and just decided to but one in Sainsbury's. It would take a lot to drag me back there to give it a second chance. I could make better food myself at home. Hopefully they improve, the meals I had at the old restaurant were some of the best dishes I have ever tasted. The new owners really need to step it up."
