Excellent food in lovely „old style“ atmosphere. We came after a horribly grey November day and immediately felt warm and cozy. Fantastic service!

Recommendable if you want to eat ‘old school’ German food. The menu is in German and quite hard to understand (google is your friend). Try something out and have an authentic food experience

Tucked away, but not far from the main Street. We enjoyed a relaxing meal in a quiet corner of the secluded garden, which was a welcome respite on a hot and sticky evening. Staff very friendly. Good sized portions; typical German dishes, wines and beers...also good. The pork dishes we sampled were very tasty. The cheesy baked potato dish was also popular. The main restaurant area was full of charm and character .

We found this little restaurant while walking down the shopping lane of Wernigerode. Beautiful town btw. The restaurant is in a side lane so keep watching. We chose to sit outside in the beer garden. Service was prompt and very friendly. We got our drinks...within seconds and were very excited about choosing from the excellent variety of dishes with funny denotations, i.e. Scheiterhaufen LOL Food was excellent and I am definitely recommending this restaurant! We had been around a few restaurants having arrived fairly late in the evening at our hotel. We went to a few restaurants where people were sitting outside in the sun eating but as it was just after all their kitchens were closed. However...we asked at one of they could advise of one which may be open and this was the one. The meal was fine and the only negative was that they did not take credit cards As this was the second last night of our week travelling by train as far as SAerbia and Montenegro we had little cash left and we just managed to scrape up enough between the of us.

I dropped in here for dinner one wet and cool night. It has a nice atmosphere inside. Eventually I was given a menu which was so poorly produced and difficult to read that it was probably written and amended by a ten year old. Others...on here mention a menu in English none offered. I ordered trout which was very earthy' tasting and not that pleasant. The dessert menu was very, very short with most items amateurishly crossed out. I went for the apple strudel which came with a bizarre pastry certainly not puff pastry or a near relative. Total cost of the meal about so it didn't break the bank.somehow it was a disappointing meal.

of us just dined here. Inside the restaurant it was oppressively hot (my husband described it as being boiled in his own skin). The menu had a great variety of traditional German food, so much potential. We ordered different dishes. When themeals arrived...everyone tucked in because it looked so good. Very quickly we were all commenting on how salty our dishes were. My farmers pan was said to be served with summer vegetables. Unfortunately these vegetables were from a frozen packet, not what you expect from a restaurant. My dish was also salty. Only one person was happy with their food.
