"I took my mum here for lunch, we had a lovely meal. You can eat in the bar or the restaurant. This is more of a venue than a pub as they have rooms to host weddings and also have rooms to stay in. It's out in the sticks a bit but it's a nice place for a meal. I had fish and chips and my mum had grilled chicken breast. The fish was excellent, really fresh and the batter was super light and crispy. The chips were very tasty I would have just liked the mushy peas to be a little less dry and it would have been perfect. Mums chicken was also very good, she just said that a mix of salad leaves would have improved it rather than it just having rocket with it. I liked the fact I could choose to have a small portion as my appetite isn't huge. Overall, a very nice meal, definitely a step up from a chain pub offering. The place was quiet for a Saturday lunch, only two other tables were in which I suppose is better than lots of noise but meant there wasn't a great atmosphere. I imagine if it's full on an evening or Sunday lunch that's it's very nice. Service was ok and the food came quickly. Service: 4 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet"

"This used to be the best in the area, but lately seems to be going off the boil. Our workplace orders from here regularly, mainly due to the generous extra pizzas provided in all honesty, but the kebabs are really hit and miss. Tough lamb, dry chicken and greasy doner do not make for a pleasant meal but then the following order everything will be fine. If you work on your consistency people will continue to order and not desert you for Cleethorpes based businesses."

"Went in to get a beast burger with the family and the young bar staff were fantastic and very busy. They obviously needed another pair of hands for the bank holiday weekend and the capacity that was in but they kept their professionalism and served with a smile. After 10 mins being sat down the landlady came in shouting at her staff, threw something across the bar that hit a customer and even said she didn't care if they stayed or went. She was swearing and slamming glasses around saying that the bar was a mess. I had my 7 year old daughter with me. There are ways of being a manager and she obviously does not know how to do this. Speaking to her staff in such a manner was not only embarrassing as a customer but it begs the question of how she speaks to them when the customers are not there. Furthermore, the way she made the customers feel and spoke to them was again terrible. The staff and food brilliant, management absolutely disgraceful and so unprofessional she should be ashamed!"

"It’s noticeable how much Millard’s has gone down hill of late. Whilst the introduction of a chip and pin machine was much appreciated the same can’t be said about the quality of the food or speed of service. A £3 bag of chips will feed your family for a week. A £2.40 bag will contain all the bits they should have thrown in the bin especially the green bits. The fish patty was undercooked which seemed odd as it looked like it had been through the fryer more than once. £1.20 for a small (and I mean small) gravy. Enough said. I don’t know how the staff dare look you in the eye whilst they serve you if I’m honest."

"Arrived at the pub to be met by extremely friendly staff. We had a drink first from a good selection of real ales, then asked for the menu. A good selection of food on offer, my partner is a vegetarian and there was plenty for her to choose from. I had the Wootton Welly pie, which the landlord told us the history of. When the food arrived, the chef asked us if we required anything else. The staff were so attentive it was a pleasure to eat there. There was a lovely log burner knocking out some heat on a cold day. We were planning on having a dessert but to be honest we were both full from the main course. We were also given a booklet listing future events and acts that were coming to the pub. Would we go again, yes definitely a nice good old country pub."
