Was great to see the place rammed. Lamb chop stater and lal has was awesome, chapatis and tarka dhall was perfect. Why did we knock a point, well the poppadons were stale and not crispy. Okay but not perfect. Best Indian in town for sure, give it a go

Travelling in the UK from Ireland, I decided to eat an Indian meal every night. This was my second meal and it was superb. The choice was amazing and I highly recommend the mutton curry and the okra with spinach side dish. Will eat there again if I am ever in Newark b

We went to this restaurant as a group of 5. The poppadoms were served within 13 seconds and the beer was cold, which were the only positive aspects of the evening. We ordered 3 mixed tikka platters for the table. When they finally arrived 40 minutes later, the meat was soggy and the coating was falling off everything, making it one of the worst mixed starters I have ever had. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our main dishes to be served, which were extremely disappointing. The chicken was tough and the sauce was very bland. I recently spent nearly £100 on a special takeaway family meal and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The starters were mediocre, with the exception of the pakora which tasted like sweet and sour chicken balls from a cheap Chinese takeaway with no hint of gram flour or spices. The main courses seemed to all have a similar base curry sauce, with coconut milk added to the korma and a questionable red coloring in the tikka masala. While they were not offensive, they lacked any real flavor. Went for a meal with friends, was greeted to a black sofa and an empty counter to begin with, wondering whether it was a takeaway or restaurant where no one greeted us. Made our way to the restaurant where we were shown our table. Poppadoms and drinks soon arrived to the table.
