we had a nice dinner here, but unfortunately it didn't blow us away for the price we expected more. my steak was boiled (very rare) and very fat and chewing. the service was almost a little too good, as we were asked for drinks before we sat down and had the opportunity to watch the menu. we were through, starving, so stayed for pub grub. but this was far above every pub eating, it was amazing! the Lebanese salate was full of taste, beautifully presented and a very generous portion. and the baked pizza was so rich in taste and perfectly cooked! delicious. I wish you were our local.

Fantastic evening meal. Excellently cooked food, with a few different elements that made particularly interesting! Particularly pleased with the host who was careful to ensure that we were comfortable, well looked after and enjoying our experience. We sat in the outside area which was lovely in the summer evening, with heaters for warmth as needed.

After reading previous reviews, I discovered that the restaurant manager lacked enthusiasm for his job. The roast dinner was disappointing, with only two thin strips of beef. Despite a previous mediocre experience, we decided to give it another try. However, we will not be returning any time soon. The pizza crust was extremely hard. nice hotel and great service eating was great. the flat iron steak was fantastic! rooms in which beautifully decorated, well furnished and comfortable my only comments would be, they can hear the toilets and showers in the other rooms, the rooms are very warm and when they open the window the passing traffic at speed is loud. a large air cone unit was provided in the room but had to be vented through the window. the rooms lacked in quality and love for detail for a five star rating and the price was high.

After visiting the church yard in Charlton Horethorne to pay respects to my family's grave on Wednesday, March 1st, we decided to have lunch at the Kings Arms. It was a lovely experience. Despite the few customers dining, we received a warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious, well-cooked meal at a reasonable price. The pub had been recently renovated since my last visit. Charlton Horethorne holds a special place in my heart as my happy village, where I spent many school holidays with my Nan and Granfer Dyer at Hillside Cottage. I had never been to this restaurant before, but I will definitely be returning. The staff were very efficient and friendly. They had a good selection of beers with clean pipes, as well as a variety of other drink options. The menu had a wide enough selection to please everyone. I enjoyed a tasty pizza (although the base could have been a bit crispier), while my husband had the haddock and chips. He loved every item on his plate – including the mushy peas, tartare sauce, chips, and fish. We both had a rocket and Parmesan side salad, which consisted of a quarter packet of rocket topped with plenty of Parmesan flakes and a delicious dressing.
