"Not having been since the previous owners had it I wasn’t sure what I would find. The man with the colourful shirt had great personality , welcoming, thoughtful providing crayons/colouring for the children without being asked) we had the Freckles! Chilli chicken , amazing scotch eggs for starters followed by chicken roast, tender chicken amazing roast potatoes , tasty bouncy Yorkshire puds great veg, one of us had lamb again perfectly cooked. We forced down desserts and managed after champagne and sav blanc to get out the door! Great place with friendly staff fab food we will be back soon! If you're looking for a country pub in Somerset, look no further. We stopped for lunch on the way to Devon and had a fantastic meal (one vegetarian, one meat-based) and were very satisfied! Great service from landlord Jon and the wider team who were all lovely. Look forward to our next visit!

Genuinely one of the best pubs I have ever been to. The food was to die for, I had the hake and my partner had the burger. Both of us couldn’t believe how amazing every bite was. Drinks were wonderful, the Greek wine paired lovely with the fish, and I’d recommend the chocolate orange espresso martini. We wish this was our local! Thank you for a lovely evening!
