"I have visited Flachau so many times, even though I have missed this pearl every time in the past. From the outside it looks quite modest, but don't let the exterior fool you.This is really a place worth a visit. Probably the best kitchen that is open for the public in this village.A nice menu and a really attentive service is a good start. We ordered a variety of dishes and everybody was really pleased - from starters to the sweet things afterwards. The "brightest star" on the table this evening was definitely the plate of fish and seafood that one couple ordered (made for two persons) that was really impressive. All tasted excellent and the sauces… wow!This evening was a quite calm one, end of season with the restaurant less than half-full. I have no idea how the service are in high season, but I'll be back for sure to find out. :)"

Its good, but dissapointing about the way if you are looking for typical food of Austria. But staff its nice.

This restaurant beside our hotel had great pizzas and pasta. The serving was top and there was a great atmosphere. The prices where reasonable too.

Ok but they act as a top-resto, it is average but prices are above average. Food was good but not great. Eg. no veggies withe the wiener schntzl, only meat and 3 tiny potatoes.

Booked a table, but it took 50 minutes for the meal to arrive. Pizza very oily. The 4.50 euro for a glass of fizzy pop for the kids is pulp fiction-esque ($5 collage shake!) - complete, unashamed rip off!

The service could have been better (quicker), we waited quite some time on the food, but when it came, everybody at our table (7 adults) were all satisfied with the meals, mainly pizza's and pasta dishes, but everybody also quickly agreed that they've had better Italian food... For the price it's worth a go.

We arrived in Flachau around 9:30 pm. Hotel said the bar was open and served light food until midnight, but they didn't. Across the street was La Luma. We went in and it's decorated very pretty with a full bar. Sat and ordered pizza and a calzone. Pizza was good, calzone needed to be cooked for 10 more minutes, was very doughy. FYI no toilet in the men's bathroom!! Just saying. I also ordered a mix drink, tasted like watered down fruit punch with no alcohol.

On the last day of our ski vacation we decided to give the Essgalerie a try. We were not disappointed and enjoyed a delicious meal at reasonable prices. The Thai Curry, Vegetarian Risotto and Backhendl were all outstanding. The atmosphere is Scandinavian cool, so don 't expect a typical Austrian Schihuettn . Only downside was the non-committal service. They didn 't care too much about us and seemed a bit annoyed that we came in for a late lunch. We couldn 't get any desserts because the kitchen was closed by the time we were ready to order. How about telling us this upfront? Otherwise well worth going back.

We visited this restaurant after struggling to find anywhere else with space they were uncertain if they could seat us, but after some hard work by the front of house manager they found us a table we were glad they did! My husband I had the ribs which I think were on special (we'd seen them being brought out to another table decided we had to have them! They were amazing possibly the best ones I've ever eaten! The kids all enjoyed some delicious pizzas. We asked for wine recommendations the waiter suggested a great local bottle of wine for us to try. It may not look that exciting from the outside but this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
